We liked everything. Wonderful, clean, very spacious wit an extraordinary view over Akureyri bay. Could not be better.

As beautiful as the property was, the condition of the showers were poor and made this stay very hard. We emailed the property owners after the first day that one shower was not draining, and the other shower had a showerhead that was coming out of the wall. They communicated back that they were going to send somebody to fix it, but no one came. The last day of our stay, somebody who looked like a property manager, perhaps showed up at our property unannounced and looking around the property which scared our children. We were very disappointed with the professionalism of the property managers to fix the issues in a timely manner and to communicate properly when doing a site visit without permission. It was an invasion of privacy!

The house was spacious and well-equipped with all I needed. The kitchen equipment was sufficiently provided for the big meal. The bed in the bedrooms and the sofa bed in the living room were very comfortable. The pillow was too soft for me, anyway. View from the house was amazing as the house located on a hill quite a distance away from the city. I could also see the northern light from the house. Parking was available in front of the house, but the access to the parking area and the house itself was a little bit tricky. There were so many similar houses nearby, which caused me some time to find the right house. Moreover, the way to the parking was invisible as it had been totally covered by snow upon my arrival, making it hard to know how to drive a car to the parking area. My suggestion is that the photo of the house from outside and the access to the parking area (without snow) should be preliminarily provided for the guest.

The house was a dream come true and we felt right at home and relaxed. The staff responded quickly and were very helpful and accommodating.

The location of the property is quite far from the city center, however the view from the property is superb. It is on top of the hill, hence overviewing the city of Akureyri. The house is neat, cozy and warm with big windows from kitchen to living room. The bathrooms are large, clean, bright, and modern. The bedrooms size is enough, comfortable and cozy beds. Kitchen set is complete, plates and all are sufficient with nice pattern, and utensils are plenty.

When we arrived: * Could not immediately collect the key in the key box as the given password to the key box was incorrect. We had to make a phone call to the host (which quite expensive for us as we called international number from our mobile). Although the host was helpful by calling someone to help us with the key box, but it took about 30 minutes for the person to come and help. We had to wait in the cold for that long and only then we knew that the provided password to the key box was incorrect. But, thank you to the gentleman called by the host who came and helped us not only with the key box, but also helped shoveling the snow in the pathway to the house and carrying our bags. * The drive way was full of snow and had not been cleared up, lucky that there was a snow cleaner truck around, but we had to call them to clear up the drive way and it took some times 30 minutes after we arrived for them to start cleaning the driveway. * The dryer is too sophisticated to operate, as it needs connection to our mobile phone in order to know what was wrong with the machine as it stopped every 10 minutes of drying, and there was no instruction booklet/paper. Turned out that there had been too much water which had to be emptied. If only the cleaner of the house paid more attention to this before the new tenant (we) came, it would be helpful, hence we don't waste our time figured out what was wrong with the machine and not to wait in front of the machine as restart it every ten minutes. For this part, we wasted our time instead of enjoying the house and the surroundings. * The front door could not be locked from the inside - believe the lock was broken.
