Casa Cristy palermo

The flat was very nice, clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately the flat was in a quite dodgy location. It didn’t feel particularly safe walking in the street nearby. There was no facility for boiling water, no kettle, and we could not get the stove top to work, the gas seemed to have been turned off.

The location was ideal for exploring Palermo's historic centre and was also within a short walk of the Palermo Centrale railway station. The apartment was well furnished and provided for all needs.

We liked everything about Casa-Cristy.

It’s large and well located close to the center and railway station. The host was extremely nice and helpful. We had an issue with one of neighbours downstairs at night, Cristy solved the problem perfectly, so it was pretty quiet. Although the streets around are dirty and bad kept, the apartment is pretty modern and clean. There is an air conditioner in the living room, but we didn’t need it, because it wasn’t cold or hot in November. The small balcony and the terrace are amazing.

The kitchen equipment is enough, but it’s not too new. Although apartment is on the first floor, the stairs are too narrow to go upstairs and hold a suitcase.

the location is terrible - it's in a dangerous area of town. There are stairs, and there is street parking which is not easy to find. The apartment is located next to the fruit and vegetable marketing and the streets are filthy. The kitchen has only the basics. The price is high for such a location. I stayed there for one night and left even though the owner would not return the money for the rest of my stay which was 5 days.

Lovely apartment with modern bathroom, 2 balconies, seperate kitchen, dining/living area and bedroom made it very comfortable. Host was very helpful and allowed us to leave bags on last day.

While the area is a bit rundown at first appearance it more than made up for it being close to market, train station, some great eateries and walking distance to most major sites in Palermo.

The hostess was most kind and goes out of her way to be hospitable.

The traffic noise and crazy motor bikes.

I highly recommend this apartment, if you want to see the real Sicilian life. Good location near Ballaro market, fool equipment apartment, I missed only wash machine. Very nice and helpful landlady.
