Elite Safari Resort

I guess it's my own fault i should have known a $1 hotel room would be a scam. Basically the place is free if you spend 20,000 rupees on a safari with them. Otherwise the real price is is 4000 rupees. They don't post this information anywhere to see before you get there and waste your time and energy. Looks like just about every hotel in this town is doing the same stupid scam.

The host is really lovely and made us some delicious dinners every night. The room is spacious and comfortable too. We booked the safari through her and it was amazing! I recommend doing the full day!

The owner is exceptionally good, it is hard to imagine there is someone so caring, nice, efficient as her. She was the best! Sri Lankan superwoman :) there was a nationwide power outage and in no time she had an electrician over with a generator for us to have electricity. And she made sure the generador was far away as to not cause too much noise. Her food is amazing, the location is perfect, the bathroom is incredibly beautiful. She arranged everything for me, at no extra cost, and guided me to my next destinatuon. I had 5 minutes to catch my bus and she even called me a few minutes later to make sure I was ok. :) better than my mom :)

The place was amazing, super clean, very nice nature around, and the owner was just the nicest, he was super fast in providing everything we needed, and the breakfast was amazing, super good food :)

Best place to stay in Udawalawe! The host is one of a kind, and the dinner was amazing! 10/10 would recomend!! We also booked an elefant safari trough the resort, and loved it. The rooms are big and everyting was great.

Best place I stayed in Sri Lanka, really comfy room, clean toilet, the breakfast was so good and the host was super nice, 100% recommend, also did the reservation for the safari with them

Great location near the bus stop, all kinds of shops, local cafes and a supermarket. Udawalawe national park and baby elephant orphanage are also pretty close. Hosts are very hospitable and ready to help you with all matters. There was no problem to stay for one more night because of the heavy rain. Food is home-made, delicious and big portions. You can have here local breakfast, lunch and diner. After lunch we were treated with tea and bakery. We were offered to choose between two rooms and we got the family room, which is spacious, with two big beds, beautiful shower, ac and fan, lovely balcony with the jungle view and good wi-fi. Hope to return here as soon as possible.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hammocks and jacuzzi tab were lovely. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The safari organization was great. The driver is a very knowledgeable guide. Everything was perfect.

This hotel is in booking. Com. But when i booked it, i reached there., they said no room. They had a group. But they never called to inform.. Bad service.
