You could hear the sound of the sea. The owners were friendly and accommodating. It was walking distance to the sea. Area was calm and quiet. UberEATS deliver foods there.

Nothing to improve

The only positive aspect was the location of the property, which was convenient.

The room was infested with ants — it was impossible to leave a snack on the table for even a couple of minutes without them swarming. The light switches barely worked, and there were cockroaches in the kitchen. One morning, a 3–4 cm long cockroach appeared on my pillow, which scared me so much that I left the apartment immediately, it was the middle of my vacation. The property listed two rooms, but only one had air conditioning where other room has no fresh air even if to open window. I don’t want to open window on the 1st floor at night to avoid snakes, lizards etc. So my friend had to stay in a different hotel, incurring extra costs. Ironically, even in a cheaper hotel I stayed in afterwards, the experience was far superior. Photos are too good on Booking. In fact it looks much worse.

The atmosphere is so calming and pleasant; washing machine was a great addition as was the well supplied kitchen. Our room had a king size bed and still plenty of room for my yoga mat. AC worked great; neighborhood was quiet and appeared to be very safe It takes 10 minutes to walk to beach 30 minutes to walk to train station and 20 minutes to town center or main street. Host was charming; we would have extended our stay but room was booked

Nothing of importance

Price/quality rate 10/10. Excellent choice if you prefer to live in quiet and green areas of Weligama rather than in the city center. Beach is 5 minutes by motorbike. A wonderful kitchen with everything you need for cooking. Fresh and comfortable rooms. Parking for several bikes or cars. Wonderful homestay, thanks Dinuka.

Very clean room and bathroom, beds were comfortable. A/C was spot on too. The host was very helpful and friendly and provided a really good breakfast including toast, omelette, jam, butter, fresh fruit, rotti, fresh juice and a choice of tea or coffee. Rented a bike for 2 days at 2500lkr, usual rate is 3000. Host even dropped me off at my hostel when I handed the bike back! Would definitely recommend!
