Caprivi River Lodge

Even though we arrived late at the lodge, the staff was accommodating and even served us dinner out of hours.

The fish that was served at dinner had too much sauce but the kitchen staff and management was able to satisfy our food needs.

Very beautifully situated lodge on the Zambezi: well-kept grounds, beautiful garden, nice, courteous service. Boat trips on the river are offered (thanks to Daniel!). We stayed there for three nights and relaxed well, feeling very comfortable (with delicious dinners).

Successful stay! The welcome by the owners was warm and professional! The staff is very very friendly, competent and helpful. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The food in the restaurant is very very good! Our compliments to the chef who cooked us a very delicious 3-course menu that evening! The rooms are very clean, the staff does a great job here too. Internet is fast and stable. Air conditioning in the room and clean an well maintained.

it was unique and next to the river

Very relaxed and laid back place right on the river. Garden grounds with lots of bird life right out the door. The management of the property is now Caprivi Adventures tour company, so previous issues with management probably don’t apply. As they are part of a tour company, it’s easy to arrange activities. I had two exceptional birding outings on the river with Riian during my stay.

A few local bugs found their way into the shower.

We were here for the second time and would love to come back. You feel welcome. The food is great. A little paradise on the Zambesie River.
