GBSpacious, clean, kitchen was well equipped, nice little courtyard garden.
There was a high pitched noise on occasions, not particularly loud and not regular enough to be a low battery warning for the smoke alarm, so bit of a mystery. Bathroom & shower very small. There was no shelf to put your toiletry bags on and the mirror too low for people over 6ft like myself when shaving. If it was fixed a cm lower it could then be tilted upwards by clearing the window ledge, otherwise it needs to be fitted at least 15 cm higher with no tilt.
GBGBBeautiful property, lovely location, close to the wedding we attended at Thirsk Lodge barn. Had everything we needed, was exceptionally clean! Hosts were great too! Will be back!

The bathroom and toilet were on the ground floor, You had to go down a steep spiral iron staircase and at night while half asleep,not for the faint hearted or older guest, x
GBBeautifully presented property with a lovely little garden in a really good location. The house was clean and tidy. The owners were friendly and easy to get in touch with.
Only because I am a very light sleeper - what I’m guessing was the humming from a generator (?) was quite loud in the bedroom at night.
GBWhilst the interior design of the annexe was aesthetically pleasing, it was not terribly practical. It was great having milk left as well as tea and coffee making facilities and everywhere was clean. It was only an overnight stay so we did not use much. The garden courtyard was delightful and convenient for our dog.
There is so much space it seems daft not to put in, at least, an upstairs Wc if not a bathroom. Because of all that space, it is a long way back down the spiral staircase and downstairs back through to the shower/cloakroom at the front door. This would be particularly difficult for the elderly or families with young children. There is room to have the upstairs lounge downstairs if space was a problem. No other complaints other than bedroom carpet bit grubby.
