Avon Causeway Hotel

Not much

Room was extremely small. Barely enough space for a double bed, bathroom extremely small and suffocating. No A/C. No lift. No help with luggages. Small fan. Extreme heat. Room rate not aligned with what is being offered and 'four star' hotel rating doesnt make any sense. Was told "we are a pub" when asked for lift. Room rate certainly raises expectations. Restaurant extremely expensive. 2 fish and chips and lemonade cost 50 pounds.

The building was slightly quirky with a railway theme. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful and efficient

We stayed the hottest 3 days of the year so far and there was no air-conditioning in the bedroom. Our room was airy but still very warm

No air conditioning unfortunately when we stayed it was extremely hot

Lady running the bar was so nice. Food was excellent

Shower not brilliant and lack of iron in room

Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Location was great for our family as a base for exploring around the New Forest and surrounding areas. The hotel was very quaint with a lot of historical background. We stayed in a family room which was perfect in terms of size and amenities.

There's nothing negative and nothing not to like.
