New Toropi Homestay

The room was clean with hot water. The balcon is great and the breakfast was very good too. The area around is amazing. The host were nice too

It was the best homestay / hostel on our trip. Everything was available. Kitchen, terasse, dining area, big rooms, very good and affordable food. Hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful. Would always come back and stay much longer next time!

Above and beyond expectations and previous reviews were great. Beautiful environment, and a balcony better than any other we've found, superbly clean.owner and his wife are wonderful hosts, home cooked food was the best we've tasted in Sri Lanka. A dream place, we are already planning our return trip. We've stayed in many places in Sri Lanka, this is the best and incredible value.

Our stay at Toropi Homestay was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene jungle setting, just a short distance from the bustling city of Kandy, this hidden gem offers the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nishad and his wonderful family, whose hospitality made us feel instantly at home. The food, lovingly prepared by Nishad’s wife, was some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve ever had—each meal was a delightful exploration of local flavors and traditions. Nishad went above and beyond as our host, taking us on unforgettable excursions to a local tea factory, stunning waterfalls, the iconic Ambuluwawa Tower, and several beautiful temples. These experiences gave us a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of the area, all while avoiding the usual tourist crowds. What truly sets Toropi Homestay apart is the genuine warmth and kindness of Nishad and his family. Their care and attention to detail made our stay the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for a place that offers both comfort and authentic experiences, Toropi Homestay is an absolute must-visit.

Great location, you’re surrounded by nature and the garden is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and very clean, with hot showers! The family are so friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious (the best jackfruit I’ve ever tasted!). I had lots of bites from my previous location and they treated them for me with a plant from the garden! Highly recommend!

Everything is perfect here, nature, view, our kind hosts that arranged everything to make us feel comfortable. Bathroom clean, kitchen more than well equiped, balcony.
