Mzimayi River Lodge

Breakfast was decent and enjoyed it. The location and the views are fantastic. I like the ocean view from the deck plus the sound of the ocean and night. The staff that served us were awesome plus the male manager was excellent.

One of the front staff members was a bit grumpy for my liking. Maybe it is her personality. That was the only turnoff. But the guy manager was awesome.

They were not aware of our booking, saying that booking.com did not inform them. Glad they could still accommodate us. I had to show them my proof of booking/ email

Had a awesome time.. went there for our 1 year anniversary and will certainly go again.

No wifi connection

The location

1) residents are not given remotes, and have to depend on the managing staff to open when they eventually wake up, you practically locked up inside. 2) breakfast is from 8, staff only starting to clean and set up at 8, you have to wait 3) the advertisement says no parties, but management throws parties, no regard for residents, left all the empty glasses and beer cans outside, only to be cleaned later the next morning 4) no smoking rooms, but the staff are smoking at reception, your first point of contact with guests and in full view of any residents in the restaurant area 5) guests from outside having lunch or supper at the lodge are seated right in front of the rooms, again, no regard for the residents that want peace and quiet to rest. 6) I would suggest installing a bar fridge in each room, nothing worst than drinking warm water or cool drink. The bar is not open 24/7 to serve whenever the need arise to get something to drink. People who drink more coffee or tea that’s offered will probably buy their own and would like to keep milk in the fridge. 7) internet and WiFi is advertised, but you are unable to use it unless you in the reception area or the bar.
