Očaravajuća špilja u srcu starog grada Matere.Sve je bilo kao na slikama.Predivno uredjeno sa ukljucenim doručkom.Vlasnik nam je dao temeljite upute za sve i dočekao nas je.Bilo mi je pravo zadovoljstvo spavati u ovoj vrsti apartmana.Sve je bilo savrseno,od gostoprimstva do čistoce.Svakako bih preporučila ovaj smještaj.Hvala vlasniku što nam je uljepsao boravak u ovom prekrasnom smještaju u predivnoj Materi.

We were absolutely blown away by this stay! Easily one of the coolest places we’ve ever experienced. The apartment is carved right into the tuff, and every detail feels like a perfect blend of history, luxury, and character. The multi-level layout adds so much charm, and the space stays naturally cool while still feeling incredibly cozy. The jacuzzi tub was amazing, and the shower was next level with multiple settings and a waterfall feature that felt like a spa built into a cave. There’s even a small table just outside that was perfect for morning coffee, and the location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the Sassi! The host Giuseppe was an outstanding. So friendly, welcoming, and full of great local knowledge. When we booked he sent us super detailed instructions to help us navigate into the Sassi and to the rental unit and he greeted us on arrival and helped us in! Honestly, I can’t find a single thing to nitpick. An unforgettable stay in an unforgettable place!

First off, the room -- and location within the city -- was amazing. We were simply hoping the room would be as nice as it's pictures online and it truly exceeded our expectations. Communicating with the property owner (Giuseppe) was seamless... he was extremely proactive and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and our visit to Matera was enjoyable & memorable.

Everything was exceptional -- there was nothing that fell short of our expectations!

The architecture and design of the space was so beautiful and made for a special experience. It was nice to sit and relax in the room. The tufa stone is beautifully lit, creating a soothing environment. I also enjoyed the "cave" shower and, of course, the whirlpool tub in the old cistern! I loved the simple serenity but also the luxury of the room, as well as the history in its walls.

The coffee machine could have been a bit better. The milk frother gave it a chemical taste. I can't think of anything else I "didn't like" about Dimore dei Mercanti!
