Son Doong Riverside

We arrived at 4am and were able to sleep on beds in the lobby with blankets and pillows left for us. The location was perfect for the Phong Nha river cave cruise and we were collected from the hotel for a tour to botanical gardens and paradise caves. The staff/family were so kind and friendly, helping organise tours and transport. We also hired a scooter from the hotel. When we left we were given a lift into town to catch the night bus which the hoomestay had booked for us.

Even had a heater in the room which is unique. The free breakfast was good especially the banana pancakes.

There was no table in the room.

The location was along the river with nice views, especially while dining along the many cafes and restaurants

Location, the view, good breakfast, picked us up from our sleeper bus in town, could leave our luggage there after/ before check out, friendly staff, motorbike rental

When we first arrived we were served by a lovely couple who helped us with motorbike rental, helmets, let us check in early and were all round wonderful. Unfortunately, they weren’t there when we checked out and we didn’t receive the same service from a younger man (the son?) who seemed very stressed and we felt the effect of it… we almost weren’t allowed our breakfast despite being within the timings and we had to pay another 100k for the bike rental we had already paid for. He also messaged us multiple times at 8:30am the next day (after we’d checked out) asking for our motorbike key which we had already returned…

Große Zimmer, im schön angelegten Homestay. Die Familie ist toll, beantwortet alle Fragen und organisiert bei Bedarf alle Touren und Transporte. Frühstück direkt am Fluss ist echt ein top Start in den Tag.

The staff were so lovely and accomodating. The food that they cooked there was delicious. The pool table was a great addition to wind down with a beer and the riverview.

The hot water in the shower was limited.

Die lage ist top.
