"Outstanding small Hotel with exceptional food and service"

There really aren’t enough superlatives to describe our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge. Everyone on staff is delightful and goes out of their way to accommodate any requests. We stayed in room #8 in the main lodge. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and an incredible view from our balcony. The sunsets are spectacular every day. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. We are vegetarian which the chef accommodated with delicious dishes every evening. The desserts are fantastic and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with freshly baked goods, delicious home made yogurts, cheeses, cold buts, fruit etc. The hotel offers a number of fabulous excursions through local operators which we took advantage of. They include being picked up and dropped off at the hotel which makes it all very convenient. The operators are paid directly in cash and there are several ATM’s in town so that wasn’t a problem. There is also great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Kayaks are available to go to the Motu (15-20min.) which was a lot of fun. Car rental is also available right on site and charged directly to your room. Cars have a manual transmission and all in great shape. We rented one to drive around the island which was fun. Overall our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return.

The Wifi is slow, but it's slow everywhere on the island so this is not a reflection on the hotel.

Beautiful property and room. Great food. Nice staff. Loved the Polynesian show. Great snorkeling right out front

The pool area needs more umbrellas. Not enough shade provided. Internet had some problems

"Beautiful, relaxing spot for several days. Would want to book tours or have a car for longer."

Beautiful property, comfortable rooms, nice pool, staff very friendly and accommodating.

Felt a little stranded. There were bicycles to borrow, but without a car there are not places to walk to close by. If you want to go and just be and relax without site seeing, it’s perfect.

"Exceptional"

The dinners, included in our rate, were excellent. The kayaks available for use to get to the offshore motu. The staff was very friendly, and very efficient in setting up tours, transfers, etc.
