Appartamento il Punto

A real gem of a place with oustanding views over the beautiful Umbrian landscape. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide choice, the accomodation comfortable, the furniture of high quality and carefully chosen to give a homely feel. From the very beginning we were made felt at home by Jeanette and Luciano-grazie ancora! This is one of the nicest places I ever stayed at, highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our stay at the apartment and the views were incredible. Although we didn’t cook in the apartment it looked like it had everything you needed apart from an oven, there was a microwave. Although fully booked and on a main room it was very quiet during our stay. Breakfast was an option at €10 which was pretty good with plenty of choice if you like cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. there was a hot option of scrambled eggs and bacon in the usual warm tray that was ok. Great to have the option of a secure car parking space which we used at €10 per night, not easy to park anywhere in Perugia. It’s around a 15/20 minute walk into the centre which can be quite strenuous depending on your fitness level but it’s through some lovely narrow streets typical of the area. Elio who worked at the property and spoke good English was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do and trips out.

Can not really fault the place. The only problem we had was that Booking.com included the city tax in our payment which was clearly stated on our invoice. The hotel also wanted to collect the tax which became a small problem. They tried to sort it out direct with booking.com with no luck so I ended up paying it but I didn’t think it was a fault of the hotel.

This is without doubt a fantastic place to stay in Perugia. We were there for five nights during Christmas and enjoyed every day of it. Communication with the host through WhatsApp was excellent, the Wifi was excellent, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious, and the apartment was very comfortable (shower was super, heating was great). Within 10 minutes by foot we were near the center of Perugia and the apartment location was fantastic with a view of the Umbrian hills (and Assisi). We reserved a parking space and this was about 50-100 meters from the apartment, also easy to reach by foot. Highly recommended.

The only minor issue was that the (noise) isolation with the apartment above was not that great (could be improved); on two nights we were forced to listen to the amorous activities of the couple above us.

Having stayed for a week we would have liked laundry facilities. Our apartment was number 8 and room above us was very noisy. Parking location was close however not safe to walk back
