Spring View Apartment

Huge apartment in an excellent location. Matress was comfy and it was nice and warm even in mid winter. Plenty of storage space for clothes. Bath is great - water could be deep enough to cover all of me! Separate shower also good. Parking is directly outside the apartment building. WiFi was good.

Apartment is right next to two crossings, which were beeping almost constantly during the day. Double bed is small (I am 5'5" and feet touched the footboard). Kitchen only has a tiny oven on the counter top and a couple of hot plates. No freezer compartment in the fridge, which was so cold that it froze some of my fresh food. TV is not connected to a proper aerial so signal was patchy. Sofas, while large, were old and saggy, but comfy once you were 'in' them.

Super huge apartment, excellent parking, excellent position right in the heart of Buxton, plenty places to eat /drink close by.

It’s definitely a working progress and will be amazing when fully completed. Recent temporary ceiling repair in bathroom, and very poor lighting in there wasn’t expected. No where to plug in hairdryer etc to dry hair by a mirror, an extension plug would have helped.

Very Spacious, and very well situated in the town, near to everything.

The kitchen and toilet could do with upgrading and were a bit chilly , and the tv could do with having a proper aerial fitted to the roof instead of the portable aerial.

Kitchen equipment could have been better. More instructions relating to use of equipment would have been appreciated

Floors did make our socks fairly dirty and paint peeling in places…we couldn’t get the tv in the bedroom to work!

The flat is really big and very comfortable. It couldn’t be more central in Buxton. The furnishings are all very unusual/antiquey. The host was really responsive and helpful

The WiFi wasn’t great. The kitchen is small but there are so many great places to eat on the doorstep (we had a really good dinner and wine at Baileys which is 2 minutes walk away)

The location is great as a base to explore Buxton and the surrounding area. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, and bars nearby. The apartment is large, bright due to the large windows, and has everything you need.

The pedestrian crossing outside is constantly used so it beeps every 30 seconds during the day. A busker was directly outside the apartment on Sunday which was noisy. We spent most of our time out of the apartment and came back for a few hours during the day so these were not an issue but would be annoying to live with. The pedestrian crossing beeping isn't noticeable from the bedroom so it doesn't disturb you when you are in bed.
