Frida was the most incredible and generous host! The grounds of the home are breathtaking, and interior of the home is perfectly designed for guest relaxation. No detail is over looked, everything you need, is intuitively placed so you can easily find it, and Frida is just a text away if you need anything. We were treated to a lovely home-baked meal each morning with fresh eggs, preserves, warm breakfast rolls, and local yogurt. As we travel from the States to Montone for work quite a few times a year, we look forward to many more stays at this lovely property. It’s wonderful for families, couples, singles, and even corporate stays, as it’s so centrally located between the towns of Montone and Città de Castello. We can not recommend this property enough. A magical stay in the heart of Umbria We stayed at Casale San Cristoforo for four nights with our two children, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The house is located on a peaceful hilltop with an absolutely breathtaking view over the countryside and the picturesque village of Montone. Every morning we woke up to the most stunning scenery – it felt like a dream. What made our stay truly special was the incredible warmth and hospitality of our hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome. The homemade bread rolls each morning were not only delicious but also a beautiful personal touch that we really appreciated. The house is spacious, beautifully designed, and furnished with exceptional attention to detail and high-quality materials. Everything felt carefully chosen and lovingly maintained. The garden is a paradise: full of fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers, with chickens roaming freely nearby. Our children loved exploring the natural surroundings, and we all enjoyed the calm, authentic atmosphere. Casale San Cristoforo is a place where you immediately feel at peace. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and experience the true beauty of Umbria. We left with full hearts and will definitely return!

Impeccably clean, beautifully curated, and stocked with every single thing a guest could ever wish for. Breathtaking view. You wake up to the rolling green hills of Umbria, with the charming town of Montone perched like a painting in the distance. The moment you walk in, it smells of roses, you’re greeted by the warm, comforting scent of a truly lived-in, loved space , everything organic, from the bedsheets and towels to the thoughtfully sourced food. It’s like the house itself is giving you a hug. They provide you with freshly baked bread, homemade cake, a delicious crostata, farm-fresh eggs, and homemade jam that tastes like sunshine in a jar. Honestly, it felt more like staying at a luxury eco-retreat than a vacation rental. I didn’t want to leave. If you’re considering it, Book it. This is a slice of heaven.

We felt completely welcomed at this private property. The house was large and comfortable in every way. There are two really comfortable bedrooms and baths with all natural organic bedding and beds. We had the most amazing sleep! In the day, the light was fantastic with views all around. Large patio to rest in the sun and take in the scenery. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need for cooking, if you care to. The host left all kinds of treats such as homegrown herbs and teas, fresh olive oil from their own trees. Nespresso coffee maker with plenty of coffee. The hosts are a wealth of information about he area and we were directed to great restaurants and walks. The host allowed us to bring our dogs and they loved the comfort of the heated floors! The home is really near the lovely historic hill town of Montone. Shopping, farmers market, groceries in Umbertide nearby.

We liked being a little remote and were looking for this, but if you are more interested in activity you should stay in town. You will need a car, but there is plenty of parking and it is a pleasant drive to the property.

My partner and I absolutely loved everything about this place recently opened. The house is incredibly cozy, leaving no detail to chance. From the well-equipped kitchen to the thoughtfully selected shower products, every aspect made a difference. And those stunning bedrooms with their breathtaking views—what a treat! Let’s not forget the valley view, oh my God. The golden hour is truly magical; it was almost painful to tear ourselves away. The hosts are the sweetest, ensuring our stay was absolutely perfect. We're already planning to return for another week next year. With all the charming villages and cities of Umbria within a maximum 1-hour drive from the Casale, it’s the ideal base for exploring the region
