Shanka Lodge Zanzibar

The ambiance of Shanka Lodge was So Peaceful and Welcoming. Our host Shani together with assistant Grace made our stay exceptional. The accommodation, food and location was Perfect for Us, and We plan to return sometime soon.

Shanka lodge was like a calm oasis, with beautiful gardens, communal area and a well decorated and cozy bungalow. Shani was also a great host and has provided us with some great recommendations as well as delicious breakfast at the exact time when we needed it (we booked a trip and had only limited time for breakfast). We would love to come again and stay longer.

I stayed at Shanka's a whole week just because I found it hard to leave! :) Everything was lovely, from the garden with great places to hang out, through the beautiful huge bedroom, to the best breakfasts I've had! Oh, and she also makes delicious cakes!!! Shanka really spoiled me & went out of her way to make sure I had the best time staying there - including watching a movie one evening, & helping me out with tips for my journey. So, who would want to leave such a garden of paradise? 🤗

Shani is a wonderful host. A one in a million combination of super relaxed and incredibly attentive. She made our stay SO easy and helped us with literally everything we needed. The property is lovely but I cannot stress enough how great she made our stay and she knows lots of people nearby who can help make your stay here incredible whether it’s food, transport, places to go, recommendations or logistics she is a fountain of knowledge and her and her staff team made our time in Kizimkazi awesome!
