Castle Brae Apartment

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is cute and comfortable and close to Stirling Castle. The host, Eileen, was very friendly and responsive to my questions.

The property had everything we needed, easy to access and very comfortable. Situated on a quiet street a few minutes from Stirling castle. A 10 min walk downhill to the centre of Stirling …. A slightly longer uphill walk back, but manageable. The apartment is spotless!

They were in the door lock box, very easy to use. It also meant that there did not have to be someone waiting for us to arrive and we did not have to worry about being there at a set time

Just personally there were a lot of air diffusers in the flat and I have an allergy to them but I stuck them all in the cupboard at the front door while we were there.

We were extremely satisfied with the accommodation. The apartment is situated in a beautiful quiet place in the historical part of Stirling with perfect access to the Castle, the Old Town and even to a small nice whisky and gin distillery of Stirling, only 30 meters from the apartment. At first glance, it is clear that the apartment is not just a "cold" impersonal place to sleep. The extremely nice owner, Mrs. Eileen, left a very clear trace in the apartment confirming the strong relationship and love for her property. Everything is tasteful, personalized and extremely pleasant. The apartment is very well maintained and there is really everything you need to enjoy or to use. The practical solution or layout of the interior is further emphasized by absolute cleanliness and care of every piece of equipment. We will be happy to try to ensure accommodation with Mrs. Eileen during our next stay in Stirling and we express our strong gratitude to her for enabling our stay in her apartment.

There is really nothing to criticize. A small but rather irrelevant improvement could be adding a shoehorn, preferably a longer one, especially for people of certain age, to facilitate the visitor´s life. We do not exclude that the shoehorn is already available in the apartment and we just did not find it, so our remark in such a case is simply irrelevant, accept please our sincere apologies.

Great location and handy for the lovely Settle Inn. A wonderful place to visit. The house is very relaxing and I will use again in future. Location is good for the castle and other main parts of Stirling which are of interest.

Excellent location just down from castle in old bit of Stirling, beautiful. Property is extremely clean and quiet, everything there that you need.

Living room is also the corridor between the front door and the kitchen so slightly odd, but not really a problem. Very dark in the outside shared hallway, could do with some lights on movement sensors.

The flat was warm, comfortable, clean, lovely quiet location, free parking outside flat, right next to castle and restaurants very close

It was cosy and warm. Comfortable couches. Good sized bedroom.

A non slip mat in the bath/shower would be good.
