Castle Brae Apartment

Comfortable and clean had everything we needed Small issues parking lock box and heating but aware before and easily resolved overall as described wouldn’t fault

We love our stay at the Castle Brae apartment. It was tastefully furnished throughout, with good wifi and the chance to spread out and relax inside its cozy walls.

The heating was very effective - at times a little too warm. Being Aussies, we weren’t familiar with this kind of heating, which was probably easily adjusted. We just didn’t like to tinker! We walked back to the railway station, as well as having walked to Stirling Castle, and our nightly restaurant - the Portcullis. (Note that the nearby Settle Inn does not serve food)

Très bon établissement. L’appartement était propre et très bien situé. Notre séjour était donc agréable. Néanmoins, plusieurs radiateurs ne fonctionnaient pas donc on a eu un peu froid la nuit. Hormis cela, l’accès à l’appartement était très facile.

The location was amazing right next to the castle and walking distance from pretty much everything, the rooms where great! the living room and dining room were also pretty great for us. Also upon arrival we were greeted by the neighbor's dog which was really lovely

The kitchen was a bit too small.

In the old town of Stirling, we were right under the castle with views which was brilliant! The flat is quaint and cosy with lovely personal touches. A lovely garden out the back. We had everything we needed. The beds and furniture were very clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom for 3 adults. A 5 to 10 minute easy walk to the grocery store, pubs and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Access to the building, not the flat was a bit confusing as we didn’t realise the security box for the key was inside the building. If you arrive at night, which we did, the hallway to the flat is dark as the security light only stays on for a few seconds. On street parking only.

The exterior doesn't reflect the interior. Parking was "lucky" to find a space, there could have been more info provided in advance. The freezer needs a defrost and clean.
