"Host experience was scary"

The property was small a bed a bathroom. The blankets smelled.

WARNING TO FEMALE SOLO TRAVELERS!!! The hosts acted like it was a burden to answer my questions about how to get into the property. That was fine but actually should have been a red flag. I was put in a WhatsApp group with 3 hosts and they asked for my passport. As I was packing up to leave the host made fun of my asking if I needed to do anything in checking out. Then asked for double the amount of money I had paid for the room in cash. I woke up to this message at 5 am and instantly responded that I had paid and also didn’t carry that amount of cash on me. As you can imagine I was freaking out. Like a heart attack at 5 am as to whether they would try come to the place and ask for this cash. I tried to contact booking. There is no hotline for this type of situation. At 5 am they asked me to prove I had paid. I called a car and left in a huge rush asap and sent the booking receipt from a car. I didn’t hear from them for 5 more hours. I’ve had bad stays. But I’ve never been worried for my safety before.
