Shallow Lagoon Sunset

Потрясающее расположение на первой линии, однозначно лучшее на острове. Шикарный домашний риф прямо рядом с номером, если плыть не в сторону бикини бич, а направо. Видели там множество рыб, маленьких акул, скатов и мант. Вкусная еда в ресторане самого отеля, также рядом есть отличное кафе на бикини бич. В самом номере очень чисто, а вид просто сумасшедший.

Сантехника чуть уставшая, но это такая мелочь. С водой перебоев не было.

Na to nastanitev sem naletela kot na pravo presenečenje! Lokacija je preprosto sanjska – praktično na plaži, s čudovitim pogledom, ki ga ne more nič prekositi. Nastanitev sicer ni luksuzna, gre za preproste, a čiste sobe; manjka kakšna omara in odlagalna polica v kopalnici, a to kompenzira domačnost in urejenost prostora. Okolica je nekoliko zanemarjena, a pogled s terase to popolnoma nadomesti. Osebje je izjemno prijazno in ustrežljivo – vsaka moja prošnja je bila sprejeta z nasmehom. Brez dvoma se bom sem še vračala!

Nastanitev bi lahko pridobila na še večjem čaru z manjšimi izboljšavami v okolici, na primer zamenjavo poškodovanih ležalnikov in popravilo zlomljene klopice na terasi. Takšne podrobnosti bi bivanje naredile še bolj prijetno.

Abbiamo soggiornato allo Shallow Lagoon Sunset a Rasdhoo e la nostra esperienza è stata nel complesso deludente. La struttura dispone di una terrazza con una vista molto suggestiva, ma l’accesso diretto al mare da lì non è sicuro e non può essere considerato un vero valore aggiunto. Le camere risultano poco pratiche: l’arredamento è datato, manca un armadio vero e proprio e c’è solo un piccolo appendiabiti aperto. Non essendoci spazi per riporre i bagagli, siamo stati costretti a tenerli a terra per tutta la settimana. Anche il bagno è scomodo, privo di superfici di appoggio per gli oggetti personali. Il ristorante propone piatti discreti, ma la colazione è molto limitata e ripetitiva. Inoltre, non ci è stata offerta alcuna formula di mezza pensione o pensione completa: ogni pasto andava ordinato e pagato separatamente, con poca attenzione alle esigenze degli ospiti.

La terrazza in un angolo aveva sdraio rotte accatastate una sopra l’altra, terribile a vedersi e indice di trascuratezza verso il cliente. La posizione è vicina alla bikini beach, che però si è rivelata sporca e trascurata. L’isola stessa lascia a desiderare, con sporcizia e detriti sparsi un po’ ovunque, cosa che influisce negativamente sull’esperienza. Abbiamo quindi preferito trascorrere il tempo in terrazza o partecipare alle escursioni, che invece sono state ben organizzate e piacevoli. Va detto che, in generale, le strutture delle isole maldiviane sono poco pratiche e poco confortevoli, e probabilmente questa è comunque una delle migliori opzioni disponibili su Rasdhoo. Nonostante la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale, riteniamo che il soggiorno sia stato insufficiente. Una ristrutturazione degli interni e una migliore gestione degli spazi renderebbero la struttura molto più accogliente.

The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the location was right on the beach, so as advertised, and location was quite lovely at sunset. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was immediately adjacent to the closest dive centre, and the walk to the boat each morning was just 3-4 mins. Diving locally was superlative. One of the best locations in the Maldives to see large pelagics - Eagle rays, Grey Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Black & Whitetip reef sharks. Lots of other stuff too.

Minor, but two things bugged me: The sliding doors onto the deck weren't secure - one side wouldn't lock and was clearly broken. Fortunately the island is very quiet, and I understand crime is non-existent, and there was a safe in the room for small items (but not big enough for a dive camera rig!). That said, lots of tourists passing through... Secondly, I was promised that my luggage would be taken to the departing ferry the morning I left. It was a good job I double checked my room after breakfast, and lo and behold, it hadn't moved (clearly forgotten), so I ended up dragging a heavy dive bag and two other shoulder bags to the ferry. Disappointing after a fairly good stay to that point.
