"It was wonderful - everything we’d hoped it would be. We are very grateful for Sylvia’s hospitality and quick response t"

10.0

The accommodations were thoughtfully appointed - we had everything we needed and the amount of space for the two of us was just perfect. We were very cozy and comfortable without feeling at all cramped. And the outdoor space was absolutely lovely. The creek provided a beautiful backdrop and soothing background noise and the swings on the patio were incredibly relaxing.

The only minor downside was that we had to walk along Ojai Road to get to Thomas Aquinas College to see our daughter. But even that wasn’t big deal since it was a really short walk, and an even shorter drive :)

Such a beautiful spot! Nice and private, right along the creek. Enjoyed using the BBQ and visiting the goats. Great host.

"Comfortable, cozy getaway place!"

10.0

Looked for an inexpensive place to get away and this was perfect. It's a private trailer in a private part of the yard, overlooking the creek. Fresh Eggs were provided for a fee, however we didn't take advantage of that. Location was great. Bed was comfortable. Parking easy

Coffee could have been a better quality and I highly suggest putting something under bathroom rug so it won't slip. If that's the worst, then it was fine!

"61 years old, alone and safe with nature. Not far from city and affordable. No TV, thank God!"

10.0

Kitchen was stocked with staples. Microwave, stove and oven. Pots and pans. Nice ceramic dishes/cups. Clean. All linens are freshly washed, including the bedspreads! I used the oil radiator heater during a cold spell, and it was so pleasant, like a peat fire in Ireland, soft and warm, not too hot and the air did not dry out. So comfortable. I am afraid to tell you how pleasant it was because it may become booked!😊 I have arthritis and impaired vision. I could not hike around the site (the punch bowls are naturally spring fed swimming pools only 8 miles away!). But I stayed at the RV which had a beautiful deck, right next to a spring fed stream. The deck and entrance met at an equal level, smooth, no tripping hazard. There is a clean hammock for two right on the deck with a quilted cotton comforter and pillow, freshly washed. Fresh farm eggs from Szylvia's chickens are in the refrigerator. She even left me some dried persimmon slices next to my door with more eggs because I was making blueberry cakes. I visited the goats, rare Nigerian dwarfs, so sweet and the females were all pregnant! I stayed there alone for three days but felt very safe (security gate entrance). She never bugged me by coming over but kept my privacy secure. She did call and would ask if everything was OK. Next to the deck you have a beautiful flag stone patio with large marble mosaic patio set, 70s style hanging macrame swings, a barbecue and pizza oven. This is no place to watch TV and take the city with you (there is no TV and only one radio station). ONLY come here if you want to find peace, a place to rest from the city. DO NOT BRING THE CITY WITH YOU OR ALL YOUR STUFF-- if you really need all that just stay home or go somewhere else, you do not deserve this place! Parties are not allowed, but it is the ideal place to get away to for nature, even if you are older and have health conditions. Few steps to manage and RV is roomy, clean and comfortable.

Only visit the college next door if you have children who plan on going there, not for tourists or the curious (that's all I'm sayn')! Some traffic noise from Hwy 150, but nothing compared to living next to the city or freeway. And of course, the usual sound of a plane which you would have to go to Mars to get away from. I use a cane to walk, and it was good. But do not go there if you are wheelchair bound.

location, stocked kitchen, glamping in a serene setting… the chickens, goats and hummingbirds were a plus! Easy drive 5 min drive to downtown Santa Paula and 15 miles to Ojai. Easy walk to canyon trail

hubby would say no TV! Lol! but he did enjoy the chimnea fire each night and hanging chairs! The radio saved him… old school music!
