Satsuma vacation Bougainvillea cafe

the building itself is beautiful and exceptionally preserved and feels like something from another era. the furnishings within are comprehensive and comfortable, and it’s the only property we stayed at the entire trip where the two beds were not next to each other to save space. the garden is lovely and has a lot of butterflies, but the house itself has mosquito repellent so you don’t need to worry about them. we were served a delicious breakfast is on the top floor of the building next door and you get an excellent view over the city from the windows, including sakurajima in the distance. also there’s a piano and i fiddled with it a bit. i haven’t played in years but it was like practicing after school. i also want to take a moment to thank the hosts. my mother tragically got sick on our second day and they were very kind. they kept very quiet while she rested and lileth made my mother a vegetable congee that my mother enjoyed. also i want to thank her husband because he was growing loquats and they were right in season! he gave me a fresh one picked right off the tree and it was so good! absolutely amazing experience and like no other hotel or ryokan i’ve stayed it. it really is like a warm home except it’s full of antiques you didn’t collect, a garden you didn’t grow, and with excellent neighbours except they own your house HAHA. 100/10 would stay again.

this isn’t a problem with the property but uber drivers often park on the street behind them instead of the front so you have to run around and down a hill because there is no direct access. the hosts are happy to help though! i was just in a rush hahaha

It's a very spacious place full of unique decor around the house. The host was very nice and greeted us when we arrived. Location is in the heart of the city and has a fantastic view of the volcano. We had complimentary breakfast made by the host and could enjoy the views from the 3rd floor.

It could be little difficult to find for some people.

Les hôtes étaient vraiment très sympathiques et serviables. L'appartement était très confortable. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et excellent. Le petit jardin était très joli. Il y avait un piano dans le logement, ce qui est exceptionnel. Les hôtes sont soucieux de nous rendre service, ils nous ont accompagné quand nous avons loué une voiture. Ce sont tous des musiciens de jazz. Malheureusement, nous ne parlons pas bien l'anglais (et pas du tout japonais) car j'aurais aimé discuter plus longuement avec eux. Nous avons pu écouter "Les feuilles mortes" joué à la guitare le dernier matin mais nous n'avons pas eu le temps d'écouter longtemps. Il nous faudra donc revenir !

A traditional Japanese style house with modern facilities. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. The hostess is a very talented singer, and cooks very delicious breakfast.

The rooms were a bit of cluttered, having saying that, their decor collections are pretty and interesting.

特别好的体验。主人提供了到地点的接送服务，所以虽然地点有点偏，但是只要提前沟通，交通是非常顺畅的。第二天提供了早饭，非常非常好吃！房屋的装饰特别好，每个地方都可以出片，特别喜欢。主人很健谈，聊了很多有意思的事情，屋子里还有钢琴和乐器，十分适合放松。真的非常非常惊喜。

屋子结构的问题，房屋里有些冷。但是因为提供了电热毯，所以睡觉不觉得冷。
