"Amazing location, very spacious bedrooms"

9.0

The location is great - footpaths on either side of the property each lead down to a different cafe on the beach front. Right next door to a pub with lovely food & a short walk to the Pig, local riding stables & a little store.

Worth knowing ahead the only option nearby to buy food is the little store. Surprisingly good options but not open late. Listen to the instructions given on finding the property - it doesn’t look like the right place but I’ve included a picture from the front so you know what to look for. Right opposite the car park.

"The best place to stay in Studland!"

Loved the view of the sea and the patio. The owner gave us an amazing late check out which allowed us to leave much later than usual! The owner was really friendly and helpful too.

"Lovely for a short stay holiday for beach activities and walking"

8.0

The views, the proximity of beaches, the cleanliness of the property. Able to park car close to property in the driveway. Nice and quiet (it was late April, so before holiday season had properly started). Variety of walks straight from the property, which was great for walking with the dogs. The terrace is nicely equipped with garden furniture but is easterly facing, great for sunrise, and the size is suitable for small dogs, but anything bigger than a spaniel, would not be suitable.. Kitchen has basic equipment, kettle, cafetiere, toaster, under counter fridge with small freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine - but had to buy kitchen foil to use on the baking trays as these were disgusting even after a good scrub!

Unfortunately, there was a lack of towels provided on arrival - only 2 bath towels, no hand towels or tea towels. Messaged agent and these were provided the very next morning along with washing up/cleaning bits and pieces. No washing up bowl provided so we bought one and left it insitu. Stair gate provided was bent and so doesn't function properly. There is only a terrace - the annexe does not have access to the lawned area which I initially thought it was (from the pictures of property) but on clarification there is no dog area, only the terrace which has a short picket fence dividing it from the lawned area. No dog poo bin provided, on enquiry, was advised to use the National Trust Car Park bins but I never found any in all of our stay at any of the NT car parks. Several maintenance issues need attending to - the patio doors had no way of fastening open in breezy weather and the door stops were both already broken off, the back bedroom window latch was broken and the stay post broken on the other. The bath screen is missing its rubber and kept falling open, during shower.

Location and sea view. We have stayed in this property previously, the location is spectacular. We hadn’t been to Studland before and this was our second visit as great beach walks plus horse riding on the beach and up around the cliffs is just fantastic. There’s a lovely pub just down the lane and the menu looks great but we didn’t eat there.

If arriving later in the day be sure to visit a shop elsewhere beforehand (there is a small local one but it shuts early.) Due to this I feel a few basics in the kitchen to welcome new arrivals would be a nice touch (even just tea, coffee. ) Previously there was a welcome basket.

"Was a really good location and a lovely little bolt hole by the sea with great views"

Great location, light & bright house - wonderful views and sunrises

Kitchen wasn’t very well equipped. No washing up brush or sponge. No oven proof dishes. Kettle desperately needed descaling.

"“Our “ home by the sea!!"

9.0

This property is in a fantastic location-wonderful sandy beaches within 10 minutes walk, excellent cosy pub with good food and huge garden about 50m walk. Various cafes walking distance close by as is The Pig on the beach -open to non-residents for drinks and food in their beautiful garden with huge sea views. Kayaking , beach saunas, sea weed baths all easy walking distance on the beach. 15 minutes walk from bus to Poole, Bournemouth and Swanage . Great walk to Old Harry’s Rock . Excellent golf course 15 mins away with outstanding views over Poole Harbour. Cottage was very comfortable-clean, beautiful, modern uncluttered but homely decor. Great sea views from terrace but amazing from main bedroom. Only one bathroom but always hot water so was never a problem for 4 adults. Tv and streaming of a high quality. WiFi fine.

Outside furniture could have had more comfortable cushions but perhaps not expected to go outside early April . Luckily weather was good enough.
