Fabulous location, extremely helpful and gracious host.

Stairs to get up to room were narrow, but we understood that going in.

Very quirky and modern apartment, very well presented and everything you could possibly need for a short stay in the city. Our hosts were delightful– access to the apartment was by two flights of stairs, but they helped us with our luggage., both on arrival and on departure. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and very well placed to explore the city. A word of warning – the funicular which links the old town and the new town below is out of order and will not be in place again until 2027. Going downhill is fine – going uphill, in heat, was not so clever! One of the best restaurants in the city is literally adjacent to the apartment, and there is also a bar next door. Having said that, it’s very quiet in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and were sorry it only lasted a few days.

We found that the gap between the bed and the wall in the main bedroom was a little tight, and the upstairs bedroom – although absolutely lovely – is reached by a spiral staircase, which is not particularly helpful for elderly people to climb!

We have stayed at many Booking.com locations throughout Europe and this is one of the best stays we have had. The pictures are accurate and the host and her husband are exceptionally welcoming. If you want a touch of class that iprovides you a different experience, is close to old town Zagreb, you will be very happy you stayed at Vlatka’s rental. It’s a beautiful place with a lot of class!!! Look no further. It’s beyond a 5 star!!! The second bedroom on the upper floor is beautiful.

Everything was perfect!

Host was exceptional! Even though our plane was delayed he met us and carried our luggage up to the apartment. He gave us a thorough tour of the apartment and then met us at a nearby establishment. There, he shared his vast knowledge of interesting historical facts as well as suggesting things to see and do in the area. The apartment had everything you would like (even providing a medical kit with bandaids etc). It was cozy and made you feel right at home😄 . One nice item is the apartment has separate toilet/sink with an additional shower room with all the hot water you will need after a day of roaming the streets of Zagreb. A “Rick Steeves” recommended restaurant is steps away offering some excellent service and food options.

There are approximately thirty stairs to reach the apartment. There are stairs to get to the loft bedroom. As seen in the apartment pictures they are unique and make for great pictures! However, they may be difficult for those with mobility issues. Individual bedrooms don’t have a lot of space for additional storage, however with large living and dining room areas, there is more than enough space to spread clothing around.

The apartment was really nice, super clean and equipped with all necessities. It is also within walking distance from the city centre. The host Vlatka was also truly helpful and answered immediately to any questions/messages sent.

We absolutely loved everything about staying in this apartment. Our host Vlatka was very welcoming, and professional. She communicated with us from start to finish and made herself available for any questions we had throughout our stay. The apartment was beautiful, spotless-clean, well-equipped, cozy and warm. Also the apartment is located in the old historic area of Zagreb, a walking distance from all the attractions so we didnt need to use our car at all once we parked. Vlatka also helped us secure a free parking spot on the street, which is not always available. Our family loved everything about this place and experience and we highly recommend it to other visitors. It deserves 10 stars.
