New Haven Polonnaruwa

We honestly want to give this place a 10/10 as that is what they deserve! Friendly staff, clean, nice looking, cool location, good value for money.

They do have some mold, unfortunate, but inevitable within such climates. It’s not really of any disturbance however. Just something that our western mentalities are aware of.

It was a comfortable stay and the staff was friendly. Nice comfortable bed. The room is spacious. Close to the city center. .

I had a wonderful stay at New Haven Polonnaruwa. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained — everything was clean and tidy, which made the stay even more comfortable. The surrounding atmosphere feels calm and relaxing, perfect for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa. The food was really tasty and freshly prepared, adding a homely touch to the experience. A special mention to the uncle who looks after the place — he was so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed, which truly made us feel at home. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and friendly place to stay in Polonnaruwa. I’d happily recommend it and would love to visit again!

Un super petit hôtel, la chambre est propre et confortable, avec clim et eau chaude. La famille qui nous accueille est adorable ! Et les repas sont délicieux. L’hôtel ne se trouve qu’à 5 minutes en tuktuk de la cité antique de polonnaruwa, ce qui est très pratique pour y aller tôt le matin avant qu’il n’y ait trop de monde. Globalement un super établissement avec un bon rapport qualité prix, je recommande

Very modern and clean apartment for a very good price. Incredibly friendly host who makes sure you have a very good breakfast. Nice and quiet neighborhood

A bit far from the sights, which makes it quiet, but some travel to see Polonnaruwa is needed

All aspects of the stay were satisfactory, including the location.

The plastic covering of the bed you sleep on can't be removed, which makes it difficult to sleep. It is a real nuisance. Please remove it.

The host is lovely!! The room is very cute and there is hot water and a television. He also cooks really delicious and you feel part of the family ;)

The location is a bit remote but the host can arrange a tuktuk, just pickme and uber doesn't work

New Haven Polonnaruwa has been, by far, the best guesthouse I've been in my whole trip. The place is brand new, extremely comfortable and clean. It is also decorated with good taste. The exterior area, still under construction, is spaceous, and has a lot of possibilities. It has a traditional kitchen built in clay, and an area to have breakfast/lunch/dinner very cozy and nice. Congratulations to the chef! Food is so good! The owner, Iran, puts a lot of love on the project. Also he has shown me his amazing paddy field, we've collected coconuts together and do not worry if the place doesn't have a swimming pool (yet), because he took me to a canal for a nice swim very near from the place.
