El Murrino Apartments

The location was excellent, and the hosts were helpful. I had requested a cot through Booking.com, and the request was approved.

Unfortunately, the cot was not in the apartment when we arrived. There was also no indication before booking that the apartment was on the third floor with no lift access. In reality, it felt like climbing six flights of stairs, which was very difficult with luggage, a pram, and three children aged 7, 2, and 10 months. Had to leave the Pram on first floor landing overnight. The freezer had not been cleaned properly and contained blood stains from meat possibly. Both the fridge and freezer were very weak and did not cool efficiently. We also found two centipedes during our stay—one in the kitchen and a smaller one in the bedroom—which was unpleasant, especially with young children. The biggest issue was the heat. As the apartment was on the top floor directly under the roof, it became extremely hot, making it difficult for both the children and adults to sleep. Three fans were provided, but only one was working. After I contacted the host, a replacement fan was provided the next day, which was appreciated, but it was left unassembled in the box and took around 30 minutes to put together. Parking can also be an issue. The website mentions parking on Glen Fern Road, around a 2–3 minute walk from the apartment, for £5 per 24 hours. However, the shutters close at 8:00 pm, which may be inconvenient for guests returning later in the evening. I chose to use Berry Court car park instead, which is about a 5–7 minute walk away and cost £6.40 for 24 hours. It was accessible when I parked around 10:00 pm and when I collected my car at around 11:00 am the next day. I am not sure whether it operates 24 hours, but it worked well for my stay. The parking information on the listing could be clearer.

Apartamento super confortável, camas excelentes, limpo e com tudo que você precisa. A localização é super central. O check-in é super fácil. Eles foram super atenciosos com a gente me senti em casa a gente ainda ganhou um vale presente no restaurante italiano deles. Eu recomendo demais.

Bad smell, particularly in corridor

The three most important elements of a short term rental are comfortable beds, hot water, and cleanliness and I am very happy to say El Murrino excelled at all three. WiFi was good. They kindly put some fans in as it was scorching hot. Lots of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery.

Pointless 50 inch TV that had no aerial connection and wouldn't let you sign in with an Amazon account. Needs some curtains as the blinds are missing loads of slats and are practically see through anyway. Access by car. Luckily we were out the whole day each day and could park nearby overnight for free. Otherwise it would have been a hassle. Not a single pot or pan in the kitchen so lucky we didn't want to cook.

Booked for a business booking, guys were very happy with the place. Clean, as described and very reasonably priced. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming. Thank you!
