"Disappointing"

Property was nice. The location was great. There was plenty of room for my family, and the upgrades in the house were nice. I really liked all the lighting and updated furniture.

I asked for a 2pm check-in since I was flying in at 1. There was no response until the day of saying my check-in was at 4 pm. I called the property manager and was told they would get back to me. I had plans to meet my family and hang out since this was a dule trip for business and leasure. I landed up having to take my family out to an event location since I was not told until 230 that I was able to check in. At that point, I had already purchased tickets. When we arrived, we found out that the internet was out and we had no TV streaming services and had to watch an event on our phones instead of ONE OF THE MANY TVs in the house. We then found out that the hot water was not getting warm. And figured that we were not running the water long enough to get hot. In the morning, I had a meeting, and when trying to take a shower, I found out that there was NO hot water, no matter how long the water ran. I called the property management, they did send out a person who was so polite and professional. He did attempt to get the hot water on. By this time, I was late for my business meeting and had to call my DM to inform him that I was not able to make it in and had to zoom in to the meeting. Fining out that the internet in the house was not working. I informed the maintenance man, and he had to call in another member to come assist with fixing the items in the house. Turns out that they had to replace some parts and had a clog hot water line. During that time, we also found out that the sink in the kitchen was clogged. And still no hot water in the kitchen. The member of maintenance stated that all was fixed. He apologized for all the items and left. (Again, very respectful and professional) At this point, we let it go and started making lunch. The property was equipped with a BBQ grill. When we tried to cook on it, the gas line was clogged. So again, I called the property management and sent out someone to fix the grill.

"Dirty house in need of a deep cleaning"

The location of the house was good. The air hockey table was fun for the kids. The separate bar area for the adults to enjoy was a plus, except it wasn't heated

The house was not clean. It's one easy thing that would have made a big difference. I specifically selected this rental, seeing that it was managed by a hospitality company and that "each home is meticulously cleaned and put through a 35-point inspection checklist between guests to ensure absolute satisfaction" according to their website. The bath towels were wet, stained, dirty, covered in hair, and not clean. The bathrooms had dust and hair all over them, the pillowcases were covered it hair and dirt, the range hood over the stove had grease dripping from it, the baseboards were dusty and dirty, the floors throughout the house were sticky and not clean, the lights switches were in need of a lysol wipe, the ceiling vents were covered in lots of dust, and the carbon monoxide detector was laying on the kitchen island with a missing battery. The ensuite shower did not have hot water. After arriving and seeing the state the house was in, I wanted to leave and make other arrangements, but it being Christmas Eve/Christmas that wasn't possible. I spent the first day of vacation going to Walmart to buy new towels, washing the bedding, and cleaning the bathroom floors. It's difficult to be comfortable and relax in a place that isn't clean. I did contact the rental company the day that I arrived regarding the dirtiness of the house and the lack of hot water coming from the ensuite shower. The person that I spoke with told me that a cleaning crew would come out to the house to clean, a maintenance person would come to fix the shower, and that someone from management would call me later that day.  Two people did come to the house to clean immediate issues. They cleaned the hair out of the shower drains, the range hood, the bathroom mirror, took out the kitchen garbage left by the previous renter, and brought different towels. No maintenance person ever came to fix the shower.  No one from management ever contacted me.
