Peaceful Tree Cottage

Was clean, spacious and very peaceful! The host is an absolutely lovely and warm person. Loved staying here. Would definitely recommend this place.

Cottage is nicely done, with quality furniture, safe surroundings. The owner and cleaner very nice people, we felt pleased with communication overall.

At first glance the place looked nice, but when we started to use more stuff, we start to notice the lack of the cleanliness. First the sheets, was with spots, the owner was informed, they were changed later. But also, we noticed that fridge has mold, microwave wasn’t cleaned for some time and had food pieces, the shower had limescale on glass, on metal bars. The other thing is noise, we ordered this cottage, because we wanted to be a little far away from the city and have more peace and quiet, but it was other way around. It’s construction site all around in the neighbourhood, so during the day you can hear all the workers, trucks and construction noise. And during the night neighbours played loud music, I mean like at 1am. in the night. Other than that I woken up multiple times in the night, because the roof made a lot of noise from the winds and it looked that some animals were jumping on it several times during the night.

The environment is great, “this is it”, I said as soon as I entered the garden. Location convenience, cleanliness, aesthetics, innovation and sincerity are all here. Since I rented a car, this place was very useful. If you do not plan to rent it, you will have a hard time. This is an accommodation in nature with the sounds of birds, but if you are afraid of ants and small insects, it may not be suitable for you. I don't think they are disturbing at all. What you see in the pictures is the same. The host and her family are a bonus. They are very sincere and caring. Car parking is not a problem, it is right next to the house, in the garden. Safe, suitable for single woman travelers. Supermarkets are 10 minutes away by car. I recommend you to have a delicious breakfast on the terrace, do your shopping (including drinking water) before your arrival. I liked the location of the house very much. You can reach Le Morne beach in half an hour and immerse yourself in the waters. Casela Adventure Park is 15 minutes away, La Vallee des Couleurs Nature Park is 45 minutes away (I recommend zipline), and the activities in Chamarel are half an hour away. You can also find great restaurants by the sea 15-20 minutes away.

The Peaceful Cottage was one of the nicest and quietest places I have ever stayed. The landlady was incredibly nice and she and her parents went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The two dogs were also super nice and quiet. The location is super nice at the foot of a mountain in a gated community. I felt very comfortable as a woman traveling alone and was grateful to be able to use the pool. Although the cottage is in the family's yard, I didn't feel like I was being watched and felt very comfortable. The decor of the cottage itself also reflected the tranquility of the surroundings.

A few small things could be improved. But that's complaining on a high level: - a garbage can in the bathroom/WC - an insect spray, as there are many animals around due to the remote location - a cutting board and tea towels in the kitchen - a deck chair on the terrace, as it is nice, but if you sit on the metal chairs for a long time it gets uncomfortable.

Jacqui is a great host. The location is excellent for discovering all the beaches, be it North or South. The place is quiet, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The dogs are super cute too - especially the zfg older one :)

Everything was fine.

We loved the area with its beautiful mountain view, the large space of the garden, the quietness of the place, the kindness of the host with the cutest little dog you can imagine. The stand alone cottage provided enough intimacy and was very new and modern.

The place is stunning, close from birds and deers and far from busy highways. If you don't want to stay in huge resorts, this place is perfect. It is very well furnished and the atmosphere is great. The host is very kind and will do everything to make your stay really enjoyable.
