We had an incredible stay! The rooms were beautifully furnished, breakfast was delicious, beds were incredibly comfortable and the warmth and hospitality offered by the hosts was second to none. The passion the hosts have for your comfort and enjoyment is unparalleled - we very much enjoyed chatting to the whole family at breakfast and hearing about the history of the villa and fantastic plans for the grounds. The vision for the future sounds amazing and I can only imagine it will continue to get even better over time. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone, you will not be disappointed and leave feeling very inspired, relaxed and refreshed. And also very healthy from all the delicious home grown fruits and veggies offered at breakfast! Thank you for having us - we loved everything.

Not a negative for us, but just to be aware it is a little bit of a walk into the old town from the property, so a car is beneficial if you struggle with agility. Also the room could do with a full length mirror to check your holiday fits!

Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet und vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung fast familiär. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Das Frühstück ist sehr gut!

In der Nacht bellen in der Nachbarschaft viele Hunde sehr laut und der Hahn kräht irgendwo ab 4.00 Uhr - das ist etwas schade, aber wir hatten auch die Fenster in der Nacht offen.

We spent a week at Villa Genua and were very happy with our choice! The hosts welcomed us upon arrival and we immediately felt at home thanks to them! The property is very calm and well kept and perfectly located to take day trips to nearby towns and the beach. Our beautifully designed/decorated studio was well equipped, so we could also cook for ourselves in the evening. Communication with our hosts was very uncomplicated and they also gave us some tips about the region, which was really helpful! We also really enjoyed the lovely breakfast with some of the Villa's own produce including some of the best blackberries we've ever had! If we're ever in the region we will stop by again and until then we'll definitely recommend this place to our friends and family! Thanks again to the van Marrewijks! :)

We had a lovely stay at Villa Genua! A family-run place with a cozy, almost home-like atmosphere. The hosts are warm, caring, helpful, and enjoy making conversation — and they serve the best (!!) homemade breakfast. The surroundings are both authentic and beautiful. Guy is an excellent host who truly goes out of his way for his guests. We will certainly return to once again enjoy Bordighera and the family’s wonderful hospitality.

A wonderful place with fantastic views. We spent five amazing days here, enjoying the cozy atmosphere and the warm hospitality of the hosts. You truly feel like a welcome guest. Breakfasts were delicious — with fresh berries and vegetables grown right on site. The apartments are spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything you might need. Spotlessly clean and tidy. We loved absolutely everything! We would be happy to return here again.

Not a disadvantage, just a small detail that could be useful to know: it is better to drive to the beach, as the walking route is not very easy, especially in hot weather. However, Guy recommended convenient parking options and a nice beach with a good restaurant, so everything worked out perfectly.
