The Apartment was nice

The apartment itself was nice, clean, and well equipped. Unfortunately, the organization and service were very poor. We had already contacted the apartment one and a half weeks before our arrival via email and Booking.com to ask if an early check-in around 10 a.m. would be possible, since we were arriving in Morocco at 8 a.m. Unfortunately, we never received a reply. On the day of arrival, we showed up at the reception at 10 a.m. and asked if we could enter the apartment. We were told that the person managing the apartment was not available. We tried calling the phone number listed on Booking.com several times, but without success. Later, the reception managed to contact the owner and we were told to come back at 2 p.m. However, when we returned at 2 p.m., we were suddenly informed that there were “problems” and that we could only check in between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. In the end, we were allowed to enter the apartment only at 6 p.m. – after an eight-hour wait. The constant changes and excuses were extremely frustrating. Eight hours! Eight hours of waiting, being left in the dark, hearing one excuse after another, and feeling lied to. On the one hand, I understand that the official check-in starts at 2 p.m. and maybe there was no other way around that. But honestly, a simple reply would have helped a lot since we contacted them well in advance. On the other hand, even though check-in was at 2 p.m., I don’t understand why we still had to wait another 4 hours before finally entering the apartment at 6 p.m. Conclusion: The apartment itself is fine, but the service was a disaster and the communication completely unprofessional.

Cutely decorated. Nice layout. Mostly clean. I loved the lights throughout the apartment. Bed was generally comfortable. The view of the Strait of Gibraltar. Located next to a restaurant (I didn’t get a chance to try) and other shops. Not far from the ferry port or the CTM bus station. Staff was helpful to get the taxi driver to find the location. Outside of one incident, the staff was responsive.

I was not informed about the electricity tripping out every few minutes. So, I could barely get my work done and it was cold through the night. Water from the shower also wet up the floor, as the glass (half glass) doesn’t go back far enough to prevent to water from spraying outside the shower. It was a bit uncomfortable and when I inquired about the electricity tripping, I received no response. Up until now, I still have not received an apology, acknowledgment or anything. There was a washer but no detergent available and this info isn’t noted in the booking. I only stay for one night, but if I had booked for longer, I wouldn’t use the kitchen. (Although the rest of the house was clean & the kitchen was clean overall): The drying rack was nasty/old/moldy & the fridge had an odor, so I didn’t put my leftovers in there. As I was leaving, I also had a hard time getting out of the elevator & was in the dark basement alone & scared. Thankfully, a helpful man came down to the parking garage by mistake and helped me get out of the building.

The apartment is located in the 2nd floor in the hotel Rembrandt complex. A good location next to the main street. A great view of the port and the strait of Gibraltar from the balcony. The apartment was clean and included all necessities. Bonus hint: for a meal try a place called Spicy Hot, it's right next to the hotel. Very delicious asian cuisine.

Poor communication with the host was the main drawback. He spoke no English and seemed to be in a real hurry to leave. After briefly showing us around the apartment he was gone. All inquiries through the app were unanswered or very delayed.

Que no se explicara como llegar, y una vez allí tuvimos que investigar a ver dónde podían estar las llaves, preguntado al vigilante de seguridad de la entrada. Quizás deberían haber dejado alguna explicación más.

Absolutely fantastic. My new appartment in Tanger. special mention to team they were great and paid attention for any needs and requirement ! High standing, beds comfortable and great living room made this journey really amazing. definitely coming back. :)
