"Clean, comfortable and convenient. Some odd touches but overall a nice stay"

8.0

Fantastic location, parking (paid extra for, but with a discount code) was very close by and secure. Our room was clean and as described. The bed was comfortable, towels etc. clean. We had a nice stay and would probably stay again.

Our room, particularly the bathroom, could use some TLC (holes in the walls, some mould in the shower grout etc). The air conditioning turned itself off every 3hrs (or so, I didn't time it but frequently) - we were there during a heatwave which meant we were waking up sweating several times in the night and had to go and turn the air conditioning back on. They had adverts in our room for Friday night happy hour drinks & canapes - so we went to the bar. No canapes, we were very disappointed. Bar staff seemed unfamiliar with the happy hour that was being advertised in our room - bizarre. Also we were offered a bar tab at check-in in exchange for not getting our room serviced during our stay - a bit odd.

Friendly staff. Able to look after luggage. Surrounding area made a really good overnight stay in the City : restaurants, cafes, Riverside walk and Royal Arnouries were all close - as was the rail station. Very quiet area nonetheless
