Yoshimura ooike sense

The homestay was great with 2 rooms at level 1 and 3 rooms at level 2. It's close to the convenient store and restaurants. The 2 separated shower and toilet is great for big group like us.

Easy to enter the house, clean, spacious.

Can hear footsteps walking people from upper level.

Comfortable, clean and well-equipped

The house is too cold, the floor has no heating, and the room is too dry when the heater is turned on. This causes throat discomfort

What I really liked about this place was the homely feel to it. The room was big enough for us and we enjoyed the comfy beds. The kitchen had everything as well and had all the amenities needed. There were dehumidifiers, warmers and an AC in the kitchen and room, so we were very warm. The place was clean and we were able to enjoy the Onsen at the hotel nearby, The Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko (tattoo friendly as well) 1000 yen per person for 2 hours).

At one point during the night, everything shut down and it was freezing cold. We had to get up and turn the AC and heaters back on. We wished we could have stayed longer, but with a check in at 3-4 pm and check out at 10 a.m. we didn't really get to enjoy the property as much as we would have liked.

Love the bathroom/ toilet facilities. They even provide cleansing face oil and face wash.

The pillows and mattress aren’t that comfortable. But we make do with what we have. On winter days, the larger rooms tends to be more colder due to the size, 2 heater wasn’t enough to heat the room. The smaller rooms are more warmer but you need to climb the stairs.

the electricity is easily overload, we were cooking water with boiler and using microwave at the same time, and then the electric just got a short circuit.

Cleaning should be improved, the futon inside the cabinet was blood stained

The rooms of this property are very spacious and suitable for our family of 11 (inclusive of 6 adults, 3 teens and 2 elementary kids). In Japan, there are very limited properties with at least 2 toilets and 2 baths/showers that can conveniently and comfortably accommodate big groups like ours. For us, what we consider ideal is one toilet and one bath/shower for every 5 persons. Yoshimura ooike sense is a gem! The cleanliness is superb and the entire property is well-maintained!

The kitchen/dining table seems too big for the entire kitchen space. Could be improved to replace with a smaller one so the chairs can fit better. Nonetheless, we were able to adjust and fit ourselves when we all dined together. Also, the sink and the sink counter could be improved to add a little more space so guests can clean up the kitchen very well.
