"Quirky, historical gate house to a beautiful Manor House."

8.0

The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. The kitchen was modern and well appointed with a washing machine. The host provided some food that we very much appreciated. Living in a historical building is amazing!

Surprisingly, the apartment is in 2 halves - one side with bedroom and bathroom, one side with kitchen, dining, and living rooms. You must walk outside to go from one side to the other, including to the bathroom (!) if you are in the living room. The bedroom, while beautiful, faces full sunlight in the morning. In a current heat wave, and crucially without air conditioning, the heat rose to 28 very quickly and never came down. The hosts provided a fan that allowed us to sleep though (thank you!).
