Absolutely stunning views. Dark night sky and stars were bright. Outdoor bath was a bonus and the chook eggs for breakfast were tasty.

"Eine traumhafte Unterkunft voller Entspannung, Ruhe und tollem Blick!"

Diese Übernachtung war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise! Unser Dome (Station Peak) war wunderbar gemütlich eingerichtet mit Lichterketten, dicken Decken, einem Ofen und riesigem Bett. Das Highlight waren die beiden Badewannen auf der Veranda mit traumhaftem Blick in die weite Landschaft. Wegen einer kurzfristigen Stornierung einer Gruppe hatten wir die gesamte Anlage für uns - dadurch ist uns das gemeinsame Abendessen mit anderen Gästen entgangen, dafür konnten wir die große Küche und die Sanitärräume ausgiebig und ungestört nutzen. Das Frühstück, das uns unsere superfreundlichen und herzlichen Gastgeber zubereitet haben, war frisch, bio, reichhaltig und köstlich… lediglich ein bisschen Käse und Obst aus unserm Proviant haben wir noch beigesteuert. Toll, dass wir dieses Schmuckstück entdeckt haben!

"Mooi verblijf als het mooi weer is!"

Prachtige inrichting van de tent, uitzicht is fantastisch.

Doordat het echt enorm slecht weer was, kon je niet genieten van de glamping. Alles was modderig en koud. Hier kan de host natuurlijk niets aan doen! Graag vermelden bij de info dat je je eigen drinken mee moet nemen als je diner gemaakt wordt door de host.

"Inflexible Check-in Time"

Comfortable bed with a nice view of the valley.

We were excited to stay here, but the check-in experience overshadowed everything. Check-in was listed as 3–6 PM, at a very remote location (Kurow). While two hours away in Mount Cook, we messaged to say we’d arrive around 7:30–8 PM (sunset was at 9:30 PM). The host refused to accommodate, saying it was unacceptable for them to stay later due to their long drive home. We were forced to cancel dinner and rush through the rain. Once there, it was clear an in-person check-in wasn’t necessary—no locks, clear signage, and amenities could’ve been shared in writing. We didn’t feel welcome and left a day early, eating the cost. Other B&Bs and glamping stays on our trip were far more flexible and hospitable. Instead we felt like we needed to accommodate the hosts instead of the hosts accommodating their guests.

Very different type of accommodation. Allows you to enjoy the surroundings of nature. Bed very comfortable. Host great.
