Happy Valley Residence

Solid Experience! We visited during Ramadan. When the owners got to know they prepared some tasty iftar for us. The stay is very comfy and if you have a bike or TukTuk the location is very convenient. Loved the stay. Highly recommended!

Exceptional bath room, everything is very clean, very quiet place, tasty breakfast, very friendly host. I stayed in 4 villas in Sri-Lanka. This villa was the greatest among all.

Our stay was great! Everything went smoothly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were varied. The place is quiet, and we had no disturbances at night. The shower room with an open roof was a unique experience. We highly recommend this place for its comfort and peaceful atmosphere!

Excellent place, very sweet hosts. The place is at a very peaceful location. However, it's a bit inside, but it's not an issue if you rent a bike.

The four bedroom villa is traditional, with all modern amenities, including the best AC system we have experienced in Sri Lanka. The bathroom is stunning and open to the sky, and we are pleased to report that we didn't get any unwanted visitors day or night! If you enjoy seeing wildlife, this is the place for you. During our stay, we saw mongoose, monkeys, peacocks, a great variety of birds, and land monitors in the garden. A very brief walk to the nearby paddy fields resulted in superb views of egrets, ibis, storks, kingfishers, stilts, and fruit bats flying over at sunset. Beautiful! The family that owns Happy Valley is wonderful, warm, and welcoming. This includes dogs Murphy and (adopted) KiKi and Mickey and Dickey the boisterous kittens. A kind lady who works with the family also did our laundry for us and refused to take any payment, although obviously we treat her before we departed. Oh yes, and finally, the house is on the local choon paan route! We'll be back on a diet when we get home!!

Everything This elegant family house will be appreciated by the more discerning traveler, set in quiet location, spotlessly clean. Comfy big bed with the rare treat of quality linen & efficient air conditioner. Bathroom is huge, with modern fittings. Tasty & generous breakfast.
