The location and area is perfect

The reception and treatment on arrival was not good. Communication about parking wasn't good also

could not connect to the WIFI

Only the shower was good. Though the apartment was modern, nothing else was good

We reached the apartment 15 minutes prior to check in. It took almost 2 hours to just get into the apartment. There was a real hassle just to get the keys. The receptionist is the most unhelpful person. We then had to pay a R500 deposit to some guy in another building and park our car here as well. The person also refused to give us a receipt. When parking the car, the gaurd refused to let us park. There was another 2 hour back and forth between the gaurd and hostess and the guy from the other building. The apartment was filthy with blood stains on the couch, the beddings weren't washed. There was cockroaches everywhere, it was disgusting. Even the hostess saw this, when we mentioned this she said there's nothing she can do. We booked for 5 people, but it was only for 4. We mentioned this to the hostess, she said the 5th person must sleep on the couch. Then there was only 2 towels, when we informed the hostess, she said this is a self catering apartment, we must get our own things. There was no kettle, toaster, pans cutlery. The one pot was black and filthy and had cockroaches in it. The fridge was broken, though the freezer was working. We only found out the fridge was broken the next morning when all our food was rotten and had flies and cockroaches filled in it. Completely disgusting and poorly kept. The hostess/owner is completely rude and unhelpful. When complaints were given to her, her comment was that we booked in Durban and this is what we get for booking in Durban. We tried cancelling the booking the next day with no help. No one, not even booking.com could get hold of the hostess. The R500 'deposit", had still not been paid to us.
