The Kite Shack

The main issue was the bedroom is only accessible by a metal ladder like one you get out of a swimming pool. A metal one. We didn’t realise this and we were horrified. We just couldn’t get up there. It’s really high in the loft space. It’s also all open ended no safety features. There is a sofa bed but it’s really just for one adult and maybe 2 kids. My husband who’s 70 ended up sleeping on the concrete floor on a couple of sofa cushions for 2 nights, The place doesn’t look finished yet. I’m sure it’ll be lovely eventually. The kitchen is beautiful and had everything you need (if you’re young fit and can climb a ladder) I didn’t take my hair dryer. There’s a tiny travel one but I couldn’t style my hair with it. There was no hot water Sunday. I took a cold shower. The other days water was ok but never really hot enough. It’s a great location by the shops and harbour, The owners are absolutely lovely and if they’d been around I’m pretty sure they’d have helped us but they’d gone on holiday, It could do with some rugs to make it less concrete. Sadly we won’t return. But I see there’s loads of good reviews. It’s quirky and cute. Just not for us.

Great layout and facilities.

Shower struggled to get to decent temperature.

This is a beautiful conversion and you have the entire studio to yourself. It is very central and easy to access. The facilities are very comfortable and kitchen is really well equipped.

I went in the winter and it was a little cold- It took a few hours to warm up. The access to bedroom is tricky if you have mobility issues, so not recommended for children for people with mobility problems. I wish the shower had warm water- it was only luke warm!

The property was right in the centre of Littlehampton and close the train and bus stations.

There were still some things to be completed in the apartment.

Excellent service. Very clean and tidy, and quirky in a good way. So close to everything. Good wifi.

Little bit of noise through the front door.but traffic dies down a lot overnight so it's a non-issue when sleeping.

Perfect location and everything we needed for our stay! Being dog friendly was a massive bonus. Easy to find also.

The mattress was the wrong size for the bed frame so made sleeping uncomfortable. The finishing touches could have been better as the finish looked a little rushed. That being said it was lovely and clean and considering it was dog friendly it was odour free!
