Juita Glamping Perhentian island

Nuestra estancia en Juita Glamping fue fantástica. Desde que llegamos nos sentimos muy cómodos y bien atendidos. Las tiendas estaban en perfecto estado y contaban con todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable: una cama cómoda, ventilador, enchufes, buena iluminación y suficiente espacio para dos personas. Además, las mosquiteras funcionaban muy bien, algo que agradecimos especialmente. Cada tienda dispone también de una terraza privada con sillas, lo que aporta un plus de comodidad y tranquilidad y las vistas no pueden ser mejores. Además cuenta con un gimnasio de calistenia frente al mar. La ubicación es, sin duda, uno de sus mayores atractivos. Se encuentra en una zona tranquila de la playa, pero a pocos pasos de restaurantes y bares. Desde allí es fácil acceder a taxis acuáticos, al embarcadero y a senderos que atraviesan la selva hasta otras playas preciosas de la isla. Queremos destacar especialmente la amabilidad de todo el personal y de los voluntarios, siempre dispuestos a ayudar. El restaurante del alojamiento también nos gustó mucho, con comida sabrosa y precios razonables. El desayuno incluido era sencillo y sabroso. En conjunto, disfrutamos muchísimo de nuestra estancia y creemos que ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio. Sin duda, lo recomendaríamos a quienes busquen una experiencia diferente, tranquila, en contacto con la naturaleza, gente local y proyecto con alma. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

Como aspectos a tener en cuenta, las instalaciones sanitarias son compartidas y, aunque estaban correctas, no ofrecen el mismo nivel de comodidad que una habitación de hotel, algo totalmente comprensible dado el tipo de alojamiento (todo esto viene detallado en la descripción del alojamiento).Tampoco hay agua caliente en las duchas, aunque con el clima de la isla no supuso ningún problema para nosotros, es más agradecimos el frescor y la abundancia de chorro de agua de las duchas exteriores.

Tents were really comfortable and spacious. Beautiful location. Cooked breakfast was really nice as were the other food options. Staff all very friendly and helpful :)

No one replied to any of my messages before I arrived about how to reach the property. Snorkelling tour was good but it would have been cheaper if we just booked with the provider directly. No hand soap in the bathrooms, one of the toilet door locks was broken for the last 2 days of our stay and usually only 1 roll of toilet paper available between 3 stalls.

We had such an amazing lovely stay at Juita glamping! We were slightly hesitant before staying, as despite all the great reviews, we had not yet camped/glamped on our trip of SE Asia, and were a bit unsure of how it would go. However, it went above and beyond our expectations, and the staff honestly made the stay so great! Every tent on the site looked/felt brand new (so please ignore the older reviews about mould on tents!), and were nicely furnished with a large rug, multiple lights, power outlets, a decent fan and a comfy bed. The tent was spacious for two people, and the mosquito nets within the tent seals were great at keeping everything out - leading to far less bites than we expected. Each tent is also on a nice private terrace, with chairs and a foot tap, which were nice additions. Above all else, the location is exceptional, as you’re on a beach with various restaurants/bars etc., but at the quiet end, so it feels very serene and private. There’s also a jetty where you can directly arrive/leave, various water taxi stations to get around, and a great jungle trail to a beautiful beach on the other side of the island all accessible from this beach. You’re also nearby shark point on the other end of the beach - it takes a long time to swim out, but one day we saw countless reef sharks! The staff and volunteers are particularly lovely, and were always happy to assist with day trips (we did one of their snorkelling tours advertised). The cafe/restaurant on site was also good, with fairly reasonable prices and tasty food. The free breakfast was also decent! Overall, it was an excellent stay and we would highly recommend, especially given the price compared to other accommodations on the island that seem somewhat unreasonable for the quality. Thank you!

Whilst decent for outdoor facilities, just be aware that the outdoor toilet unit is not always completely spotless, and so won’t be as comfortable as a hotel room one - but this is more than fair enough given the circumstances! It’s also worth noting that there is no hot water in the showers (again, completely understandable, so no real issue just something to bear in mind) - and so the outdoor showers were a nice alternative to the toilet/shower unit. The only slight disappointment was that we were told (and found out) that the site WiFi didn’t work during our entire stay, which was unfortunate as our mobile e-sims didn’t work on the island either. Again, this is trickier on an island, but plenty of other restaurants/hotels had great WiFi, and there is a nearby cell tower that should have provided decent signal. It seemed to just be turned off during our stay, which is good in some ways for immersion, but quite problematic when trying to check essential communications or book onward travel/accommodation. Overall though, we had an amazing stay!

Très bon concept proche et respectueux de la nature. Personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins. Bon petit déjeuner horaires flexibles idem pour les déjeuners et dîners service à la carte plats locaux et européens. Départ Trekking en jungle et plage un peu plus accueillante pas très loin du camping

Normaal schrijf ik nooit lange reviews, maar deze keer maak ik een uitzondering, speciaal voor de crew van Juita, dus bij deze: 8 dagen Maleisië, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, waarvan de laatste drie dagen Juita op Perhentian Islands. Onze kinderen van 17 en 13 jaar zetten deze plek meteen op 1 van 3. Niet om de luxe, maar om de sfeer, die meteen van de plek af dampt als je er aan komt. Deze plek is niet te vergelijken met de resorts op dit eiland. Eigenlijk hebben ze alleen dat wat echt belangrijk is, vast gepakt. Met als toef op de taart een gym van houten toestellen, met uitzicht op zee! Een plek waar status en rijkdom vervagen en plaats maken voor genieten van elkaar, de zee, de wind en de natuur. Prachtig snorkelen op 50 meter van de tent, of verderop in de baai (incl. Ongevaarlijke rifhaaien!) De mensen die hier werken hebben lol en respecteren elkaar. Vrijwilligers komen uit alle uithoeken van de wereld en zijn stuk voor stuk prachtige jonge mensen, die blaken van de levenslust. Host Kon is amazing, met z’n lieve lach voel je je meteen thuis! De crew is te gek, koken heerlijk en zijn zo grappig en vrolijk! Het eten is vers en smaakvol, eenvoudig en voor ieder wat wils! De fruitschaal met verse meloen, ananas en mango is verslavend en ‘s avonds krijg je gebakken rijst opgediend in een uitgeholde ananas. Op de laatste dag gaf Luk ons een rondleiding. Ze zijn hard aan het werk om zelfvoorzienend te zijn. In de toekomst kun je nog verser eten hier dan het nu al is, ze laten mango’s, avocado’s, gember, watermeloen, bloemen voor de mini-bijen en zoveel meer groeien op deze plek en ze zijn bezig met het maken van honing! Wij vonden het een grappig gegeven dat de bijtjes hier geen angel hebben, iets wat zo past bij de sfeer die heerst op deze plek. We hebben zo genoten, dat we het liefst nog even willen blijven en zeker nog willen terug komen, onze jongste graag als vrijwilliger! Hou dit vast, laat nooit gaan wat jullie nu zo zichtbaar belangrijk vinden en tot weerziens!

Jammer is alleen dat er een klein resort gebouwd wordt even verderop. Daar heb je op zich geen last van, op -soms- het geluid na.

Back to nature… sea shore just in front, glamping area is surrounded by trees, good housekeeping with cleanly sweep surroundings, nice eating place with sea view, food is good . I would said the stay is simple yet comfortable.

There is a new development at the corner of the bay causing the water a bit cloudy.

Sur une chouette plage avec restaurants, centre de plongée. Glamping confortables, douche de plage, ventilateur. Excursions et taxi boat depuis l'hôtel.

Les salles de bain communes pourraient être mieux entretenues. PQ et gel douche pas renouvelé quand terminé pendant plus de 24h. Ce n' est pas de leur faute mais chantier en cours pas loin gachant un peu la vue et parfois bruyant.
