Amber Lantern Efficiency Cottage

Close to Lake George Village and other sites; although not walking distance. It's quiet and woodsy, cute little cabin with parking right next to each cabin. Has a small kitchen with eating area and stovetop/fridge with plates/utensils.

Was not very clean. One wipe and you have a brown/black wipe on table top surfaces, floor, chairs. No microwave.

It was clean.

Needs some updating in kitchen and bath.

Secluded place, away from the city noise

Insects, spiders in the bathroom, very few kitchen utensils, no microwave, no hairdryer

Very quiet makes you feel like your in the woods the host and his pets make you feel welcome

I stayed in # 12, it’s an efficiency cottage, it has 2 bedrooms a small kitchen with glassware, etc included, unfortunately the refrigerator is a dorm size so plan for that and a top burner stove, I didn’t use them but everything is very clean. The AC unit is old looking, but works great the bathroom is cute and small, but it’s not like your living in there. I have to say, the bed are more comfortable than they look, I have a bad back and actually slept good, if needed I usually bring bed waffle, or whatever you call them for extra padding my view was nice I was in the front by the road. It’s in a very nice area, so peaceful at night. They have a play are and things for everyone to do. The pool is good size and very clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. You can either drive about 3 mile or so to the village, or take the trolley which is a lifesaver especially parking for the village. The only 2 issues I had was outlets that should of been in certain places weren’t and the WiFi was a little weak, but to me it not enough to keep me away, I will definitely be staying again
