"Shocking do not book with these scammers"

Nothing it wasn’t even the property we had booked. He re located us to a disgusting drug house.

Smelt of weed , unclean , beds not made , no parking , like a total doss house. Still not had money back. Absolute scammers and booking.con should be taking them off

"Disgusting way to Treat Guests Booking Not Fulfilled and Put up in shocking shared accommodation"

Nothing whatsoever other than their pathetic attempt to relocate us - or in their words ,we have had to downgrade your booking'

Where do you start with these cowboys? Clearly have mutiple properties in the area that they really do not care much about. We did not really stay in this property, but if you read previous reviews, 'passable' is a ridiculous rating and to read the detail tells you all you need to know about this property and it's owners. Do booking.com not read these reviews and take appropriate action? First we paid our balance in full and on time. Next they added a standard additional £60 cleaning charge - which should be part of the price total if it was standard. Then immediately afterwards they messaged to say they have had to downgrade us due to an issue with the boiler, which I find hard to believe as reading other reviews, they have a history of double booking guests. They committed to putting us up elsewhere which in itself was commendable and under the circumstances we had no choice but to accept. We ended up in substandard accommodation which did not meet any of the criteria of the booked property and was absolutely terribley. It is a 16 bed housing in multiple occupation property. There were other people roaming around, some seemingly foreign nationals. This is either student accommodation with the students away for the summer or it is being used as a refuge. The toilet in my room was left used by someone else, all rooms had bedding on top which was not properly made up, was dirty and with old dirty sheets under one of the beds. There clearly was not a turn around process or these issues would had been picked up and dealt with - that is, if these owners were a professional outfit and not cowboys just hoping for a quick and easy income. The kitchen was in a terrible state, floors sticky to walk on, filthy laundry area, filthy cooker, fridge, microwave, pots, pans and utensils. Rotten food in fridge, cups with mould growing from them, work surfaces and living room fixtures and fittings with spillages and stains. Complaint ongoing, no more space to review.

"CON Don't Bother!!"

Nothing because they double booked our stay and didn't give us an alternative accommodation for their mess up. After speaking with the staff, we got passed to a manager who then clamed to not be the manager and someone who just helped out. Still waiting for my refund! Disgusting customer service and a con. Getting you to pay for a stay that you don't get and been over 10 days and still no money back from them for cancelling our stay.

The host never gave me a way to access the property, they were uncontactable. Shocking service. Had to book somewhere else and I will make sure I am refunded.

No communication with host. Happily took my money but never got access to the property. Rang multiple times but no answer. Still 4 days later and no contact. Not even an apology. I am disgusted at the way I've been treated.

"Owners clearly need a rethink. Unorganised management"

We wasn’t in the property so I can’t say what it was like

We arrived expecting the quaint accommodation that was advertised, only to be sent to a completely different property that was much smaller than what we had paid for. This forced us to share a bed, despite specifically booking a place with separate beds. Not only was the accommodation incorrect, but it was also in an appalling condition. The issues included: • The property was far from “quaint”—it looked as though it had been smashed up and poorly maintained. • Pubic hairs in the shower, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. • Broken door handles and general disrepair. • A fire alarm constantly beeping, with another hanging off the ceiling, creating a serious safety risk. • A full bin of rotting food that had not been emptied. • Used razors left in the shower, which is both unhygienic and hazardous.

"Disgusting, vomit in the sink, like a squatter was living in there. SCAM PROPERTY."

ABSOLUTELY VILE. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

This was a total hell hole of a house. I’m honestly still in shock at what we walked into. It was like a squatter was living there. Filthy all over, all the furniture was virtually removed, piles of old tables and chairs in the hall way in entry. The property stunk of cigarettes and there was cigarette Stubbs in the downstairs toilet sink. The kitchen had open packets of food and drinks sprawled all I’ve the worktops with white power on the floor, rubbish bags left lying around. The house was dark and all curtains and blinds were shut, and when I walked into one of the bedrooms downstairs, I turned the light on and the bedding was all stripped and in a big mess on the bed. Not stripped like it was being changed, just stripped like someone had slept in it without the duvet cover on it. There was mud all over the floors and carpets. The sofa was all dishevelled with cushions and the seats all flipped up. And it got even worse when I walked up stairs (past piles of dusty old post addressed to a new occupant and another few letters with a name on it, and I found dried old vomit in the main bathroom sink upstairs. I have a video of a walk around of the house and photos of everything. My husband and our two young children were absolutely disgusted at what we’d walked into and we had to get the photos for evidence and get out of this horrendous squatters drug den looking property. It was just vile. I can’t believe we paid this money and walked into what we did. Currently going through the process with booking.com to get a refund. The ‘owner’ of the property hasn’t replied me once, even before we stayed there and I booked it just over a month before our intended stay. Needless to say we absolutely DID NOT stay here and we quickly found a hotel near by (Breadsall country club) and booked here instead.

"Good location but needs a items added"

The location is great for shopping and going out as everything is within walking distance so no taxis needed.

No mirrors in bedrooms or bins. Not enough cutlery or normal glasses. No parking allocated as car park over the road isn't 24 hr parking. No batteries in remote control so couldn't have the tv on. No meeting pack.
