Stadsklooster Dordt Hotel&Hostel

The people there very friendly and I could leave all of my luggage there before checking in. The terrase in the backyard is very nice and it's right in the city center. Mostly clean except the common room.

This is not a dorm room like in a regular hostel, it's one big room with about 60 beds. There are four showers for men/women each. More often than not, when I came in the sleeping room smelled badly in spite of the open windows. You cannot properly lock your pod, you only have a medium sized locker under it. The second night a guy was talking on the phone all night and hammering against his pod's walls (he was frustrated for personal reasons, as he explained loudly on the phone). There is no night portier. I told him that there is a common room he might use, but he refused. On top of all that, it's quite expensive for a 60 person dorm room, I paid about 50 Euros. Not worth it.

De grootte van de kamer viel tegen. Beneden was er amper ruimte om te bewegen. Om naar de slaapkamer te gaan, moest je letterlijk via een supersteile, bijna recht omhoog lopende trap naar boven klauteren. Daarbij moest je ook nog opletten dat je je hoofd niet stootte tegen de balken van het dak. Dit is absoluut niet geschikt voor oudere mensen of personen die minder goed te been zijn. Bovendien beschikt het hotel niet over een lift.
