Dartford Delight Holiday Cottage

We liked the kitchen - it has everything one needs to prepare a proper meal. The fridge is also big, and the entire living/dinning room area is quite spacious.

Poor ceiling insulation (every movement from the upstairs unit is rather loud), which is a bit of an issue during the sleep time.

The room had a good space for 4 people staying, we could dine and cook. Good kitchen facilities. Clean bathroom. Washing machine was a good bonus. Overall multiple other facilities were on the spot. Private parking spot in front of the door is a good bonus. There is a small food store nearby but to be honest very basic and a bit shady. The prices looked like a quick/express store, so higher than normally. Also some phishy fast food next to it.

The sofa bed is really bad. It is terribly small and terribly hard, it's impossible to have a decent sleep on it. I would really advise to replace it. This is the main reason why I've put score 6. The warm water system in the shower takes a bit getting used to. The space in front of the apartment is quite a bit dirty, with even at some point dog poop appearing near the door. This was quite disappointing comparing to what is seen on the photo. In the closet there is some weird door that most likely leads upstairs but is locked. This was a bit discomforting in terms of leaving our belongings in the apartment.

The property was very clean and tidy with good kitchen facilities. The stay at this property was up there among the worst I have had. The noise from the flat above was horrendous. Like furniture being dragged along the floor and children constantly running and jumping around. I contacted the property manager who replied saying there have never to her knowledge been any complaints about noise from above. Read the other reviews and you can see that's a lie. My last message saying I would not be staying for the next night and I needed to be refunded for this was ignored completely. The other noise which was dreadful was the water pipes. Whenever any tap or toilet was flushed above you can hear the rushing of water in the walls. The shower drainage was also terrible and flooded the bathroom. I shouldn't be needing to mop up after a quick shower Would I stay there again? NOT a chance. Would I recommend to others? NOT a chance.

Clean and friendly welcome

Not great value for money. Super expensive for one night and would’ve been nice to have been provided with some basics for that price(bread/milk/fruit) as local facilities lacking.

Very convenient, well equipped. Parking on site a n excellent bonus.

Standard movement of people above including kids did interfere a bit. A big serving bowl would have been us3ful. eg for salad, rice etc.

Great place clean and quiet

There was no TV remote and the pillows needed to have a bit more backbone.

Fantastic environment and top-notch service. The property manager was always available to respond to any concern raised. It felt like home away from home.
