Very comfortable and homey. We stayed with our 1-year old daughter and the property was perfect for taking care of her.

We booked at the last minute on Booking.com and missed a lot of the details about how breakfast and payment worked. Looking back it seems there is a disconnect between the information on Booking.com and the property itself. Recommend contacting the property or even booking with them directly.

We stayed in the dovecot so had kitchen facility to make breakfast. We received products from the owner Caron. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and her cute dog. The place was spotless filled wth beautiful antiques. Would definately return - maybe this time for a full weekend with friends. And ideal to be so close to the beautiful village at Castle Coombe. And then we stopped of at Tetbury to buy a souvenir from the Kings shop in the village. Lots of lovely antique shops.

The location is the only positive thing I have to say

On arrival we found six large dead flies next to the kitchen sink. When we contacted the owner to ask her to clean the flies away, she was patronising and rude, stating "I don't know what to tell you, it is the countryside". She alleged this is a common problem in the Cotswolds and looked visibly aggrieved when we advised we travel to the area frequently at this time of year and have never experienced this issue elsewhere. She offered a full refund and asked us to leave - this was an acceptable if rather extreme solution for her to have offered rather than simply offering to clean the dead flies away which is all we expected! I advised I would contact booking.com first and let her know once we had explored our options as I didn't want to be left in a situation where we were potentially without accommodation. She cancelled our reservation regardless minutes after our conversation, a blatantly deliberate decision on her behalf as we had the audacity to challenge the cleanliness of her establishment. She did not care slightly for our wellbeing as made plain by her spiteful comment as we left- "good luck finding somewhere else". As she said it she was visibly taking pleasure in the concept that we may struggle to find alternative accommodation on a Friday evening, it was beyond petty. To be transparent I did take similar pleasure in informing her we had thankfully already found somewhere else(on a side note Best Western in Tormaton was a thousand times better than this fly riddled cesspit, strongly recommend!) Caron's attitude is the reason why I have left a negative review despite the full refund. If she had simply offered to clean the flies away, there would have been no problem at all. Instead she chose to be vindictive and spiteful. It is telling that we were asked not to leave a review by Caron- I strongly suspect guests who have had similarly negative experiences have encounted similar censor attempts. Quite. Well equipped. Easy check-in. Nice look out of the window. Lots to do around. Recommended

A vey nice chilled vibe. Car was super secure.
