Nuwefonteinskop Lodge- Kotzesrus

The property is the most awesome place in paradise.

Everything is exceptional.

It was a long drive off the N7 but through scenic countryside. It is hard to believe that such peaceful, remote places like Kotzesrus still exist today. Our hosts Marieta and Kobus were exceptionally attentive, friendly and helpful, providing a personal service rarely seen in guest houses. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with sufficient cupboard space and a well-appointed bathroom. The sheltered veranda was perfect for reading and enjoying cups of rooibos tea or plunger coffee with homemade rusks. This was one of the very few places we have stayed at that had sufficient towel rails and hooks for hanging jackets etc. A small thing but much appreciated by us. Breakfasts and dinners were superb, with unusual ingredients and flavours. My husband joined Kobus and the other guests on an informative drive to the Atlantic ocean, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I chose to stay behind and simply relax and absorb the tranquil environment and bird life. We loved the presence of the springboks and our rejuvenating walks on the koppie.

No complaints.

Breakfast and Dinner were excellent. The hosts were perfect and after a very long drive they did everything to make us comfortable. The walk up the Koppie was unexpected and a real treat. If you want noise and nightlife do not go but if you want tranquility under the stars it is just the perfect place.

The lodge was amazing. Hosts were very hospitable. Food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble

It was a great experience, start to finish. The hosts are extremely friendly and attentive. The facilities are very nicely done with an ensuite bathroom that had plenty of hot water. The food was also excellent and all meals were provided by the host. Finally, the tours were very interesting and we learned quite bit about the area including both flora and fauna.
