Perfectly Located Pretty Cottage

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Shops are close by. Just be aware of low ceilings and door frames. Good comms from the owner. Easy to find with no parking concerns.

The road outside the cottage is very busy. With almost constant noisey traffic. With no garden people were walking past the window. So privacy wasn't great.

The cottage was well situated for our needs. It was comfortable and cosy. Good facilities.

The shower was always cutting out. The stairs were very small, we didn't even try to get our suitcases up the stairs as it would've caused an accident. We kept our cases downstairs and used them as our drawers. There were only two hangers in the wardrobe for two people. The gate to the property down the side of the property had been removed for refurbishment, which provided easy access for anyone to approach the property. The window at the front of the property was cracked. The knob of the door at the side of the entrance was it made it difficult at times to enter the property. Apart from all this we really enjoyed our stay. The problem with the stairs can't be improved as it's the style of the property. If we were older it would've been a big problem to access the stairs but we were OK.

The location is perfect (as in the name!). It's the prettiest little cottage - small, but perfectly formed. The kitchen has the basics of what you'd need for a few nights. Lovely takeaway restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook. Bed was comfy! We would 100% stay again if in the local area.

The front door was really quite tricky to get into from outside - there's definitely a knack, which my partner managed but I didn't. There could be better instructions for internal appliances. The shower took a while to figure out (it's electric, flick on all switches etc near the bathroom and one of them will work). We also couldn't get the bottom (main) oven to work, although there were only two of us so this wasn't as big a problem as it could have been.

Location central Diss everthing in easy walking distance. Everyone we met in Diss welcoming and had a lovely time chatting in the Greyhound.

Arrive early and immediately saw broken front broken window. Reported it to host who asked which cottage we were in and said he already knew about window. He said the rooms hadn't been cleaned yet but kindly let drop our bags off. Booked 2 bed rooms and we might as well have been in one bedroom the walls weren't brick. The walls generally thin and lots of noise from traffic. It was important to us to have a decent nights sleep as I have stage 4 cancer and my husband has a stressful job in the health service. There was not a functioning lock on the bathroom door and the cleaning cupboard doubled as a wardrobe with only 2 hangers. Frosty glass wall to landing door so its noticeable if someone in bathroom as you descend the stairs. Hooks on doors were limited so no where to hang clothes. Strange design in kitchen with washing machine jutting out so not easy to stand front on to kitchen sink. Rusty sink drainer. General finish of decor a bit under par.

Ideally situated. Easy to find and Diss is a great great place to visit and all amenities available. Super markets aplenty. Bed very comfy, but squeaky.

Interior is basic and could do with some TLC. Television is a nightmare to use. Instructions for using appliances should have been more readily available. Side door lock Is a bit sticky.

Location excellent

It was perfect for us, we were working locally and couldn’t be happier with the deal.
