VangVieng Crystal Boutique Hotel

Imo the best place to stay when in Vang Vieng. If you want to be a bit further away from all the backpacking businesses but still close to the town center with all the restaurants, bike rental shops and travel agencies, and if you like clean, cozy rooms, then this is where you want to be. I can definitely recommend it.

The only downside was the speed of the WiFi. It was fast enough for browsing the internet but as soon as there were bigger loads of data, let alone videos, the WiFi was not fast enough. However, you can just use mobile data. Data plans (30GB per month) can be bought for just a few dollars.

Location in quiet part of village, good view from room.

This is not 'Boutique', more like a guest house with heaps of flaws. Cold shower initially and once staff had sorted temperature ended up with only a trickle of water. Roosters crowing from 4-6 am solid every morning. Breakfast OK but if you turn up at 7am which is the time from which breakfast starts you might have to wait around for 15-20 min to wait for them to get organized. Staff don't speak English, room not cleaned.... List goes on.

The location is perfect, not completely city center, but you can walk and in 10 minutes you are there. The lady at the reception was really lovely! Even if there are language barriers she was always helping us. She was super helpful and kind. You can even take the bikes that they have at the reception for free and go around exploring the town and the surroundings.

The room is not clean, the seal is not good, there are bugs, the location is remote, there are no street lights around at night, and it is a 15-20 minute walk from the main Street restaurant and night market
