Loubna estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento. Necesitábamos hacer el check in más tarde y pudimos hacerlo gracias a Halima que nos recibió muy atentamente a nuestra llegada. Aunque no hablaba español, pudimos comunicarnos gracias al traductor de Google con ella sin ningún problema. El apartamento es muy amplio, con grandes ventanales y una gran terraza. A nuestra llegada teníamos una botella de agua por si la necesitábamos. La zona es tranquila, cercana a la Koutoubia.

Vinimos en una época fría y se tardó mucho en calentar el apartamento. Pero no pasamos frío gracias a un pequeño calefactor que nos dejaron.

It was a really bright, spacious apartment in a quiet area (or so we thought) and huge balcony which is accessible by both bedrooms and the lounge area. Loubna was very responsive to messages.

We were only here for two nights and on the first morning we were woken at 9.15 by very loud power tool noises directly beneath us. It turned out the apartment below was being renovated and not only that, to the left, there was more work going on with big trucks and lots more noise of engines, lots of loud banging. So we had this lovely big balcony that we didn't want to sit on as the noise was horrendous. Despite my partner not feeling well, we went out for a few hours to get away from the noise. When we returned at 4.30pm it was still going on so it must have been going on all day. Day 2, it started again at about 9.30am and was still going on past 6pm. As well as all the building work outside, men turned up banging away right outside our front door - we opened the door and there were two men hammering and fixing stuff and painting the hallway - just when we thought it couldn't get any worse!! It completely ruined our stay - we wanted a peaceful end to our week long break but instead had to listen to a building site all day. We were let off the tax payment for the inconvenience (and offered an extra clean!) but this felt like an insult considering we paid a lot of money and had the worst experience. I actually videoed the noise and sent it to Loubna who was shocked! I would add it here but that's not an option. Whilst we appreciate this was not Loubna's fault, it was totally unacceptable, they must have known the work was taking place. Shower attachment was broken in one of the bathrooms but we were able to use the large shower cubicle which is mostly in the dark. It would have been nice to at least have some sugar for hot drinks, there was literally nothing apart from two coffee pods.(they say due to hygiene reasons).

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das WLAN ist ausgezeichnet. Er ist der perfekte Ort , wenn man arbeitet und sich gleichzeitig auch erholen möchte.Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt. Man läuft rund 25 Minuten ins Stadtzentrum.

Es war alles in Ordnung.

Loubna did not greet us in person but instead left that to the cleaner who did not speak English so we could not communicate. When I raised this with Loubna she said that everyone in Marrakech spoke French, and that's the way it was. So, maybe it should be made clear on the listing for this apartment that it is recommended for French speakers only? There was also no local information provided - a simple map, some restaurant recommendations, travel advice, etc. Information you would expect, and indeed do, find in a folder at any holiday rental apartment around the world. When I raised this (bearing in mind we cannot speak French, so finding all this out on a 4 day break took up a lot of the precious time we had) Loubna said she used to provide this but people were throwing it away. How many customers here go to an apartment and throw away the folder full of the local information left by the host? None, is my belief. It also very quickly transpired that the 'peaceful' location was not peaceful at that particular time because there was building work going on, drilling and banging throughout the day. I messaged Loubna immediately and she responded that it would stop at 12.30. It DID stop at 12.30 and then started again at 1.30 and continued until around 6, EVERY day of our stay. If, like most people, you need to have a short nap in the afternoon to recharge before the evening, this is not the place for you. The apartment itself is absolutely lovely. It is spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped (apart from only having 2 coat hangers for all guests - not 2 each, even but 2 between all the guests. Loubna's response was that the last guests must have stolen them. Do people who can afford to stay in a luxury apartment in Marrakech steal plastic coat hangers? Seems unlikely, doesn't it. The doormen were lovely, though. Really nice people.
