Beautiful house, nice size room, hot water, helpful host. Short walk downhill to town.

Unfortunately a big half built hotel now spoils half the view but look past this down to Kandy town is nice.

Lovely old house within walking distance to city and lake. Spotlessly clean the king room was large with air con if needed. The hosts are most hospitable and serve up a decent breakfast. Good value accommodation in Kandy. We would stay there again for sure.

Nothing….dont be put off by the comments regarding the hill….it is steep but we walked it ok. Just need a tuk tuk to get to and from if you have heavy luggage.

Pearl House is the home of a charming couple. It’s very close to Kandy city centre but feels like a little sanctuary away from the hustle & bustle of the town. The Sri Lankan breakfast of rice, eggs, fish curry, potato curry, sambol, yoghurt and fresh fruit was absolutely delicious and we didn’t need to eat again until dinner. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with very efficient a/c and ceiling fans. We highly recommend Pearl House. We LOVED it there.

We liked the good location close to town and the really friendly Landlord, who is always happy to help. Our Room had a good working AC, a cozy bed and a clean bathroom with warm water in the very clean shower. We also had a balcony where we could step out to catch some fresh air. There is a good working community fridge and a kettle to make some tea. The Breakfast was really good, I would even say outstanding. Thanks again to the landlord and his wife! The landlord even helped us out with good information about how to go to town on the shortest way, where to go, and he told us some quality information about the Train from Kandy to Ella. We are very grateful for the stay and can recommend it for everyone.

Good value for money, very good breakfast and helpful host.

Hotel is located on a rather steep hill, going there by foot with luggage would be an challange. Stairs to reach the rooms on 1st floor are old and deteriorated and quite frankly don't seem to be fully safe.
