Cassava Penida Cottage

Cassava Penida Cottages is an absolute gem—truly a perfect stay. While the location isn’t right in the center of everything, that only adds to its charm, providing a more private and peaceful experience. The room was beautifully designed and comfortable, making it a great place to relax. I was working remotely during my stay, and while the WiFi in one of the rooms had a weak signal, the host immediately accommodated us by switching rooms the next day, ensuring a seamless experience. The service here is exceptional. Breakfast is included daily, with multiple choices, and the host personally delivers it to the room so you can enjoy it outside at your own table—a thoughtful touch that makes mornings even better. She also offers motorbike rentals and transport services, which we didn’t use but were clearly well-organized and convenient. Overall, this place offers an intimate and secluded retreat with top-tier hospitality. If I could give 6 stars, I would, but since that’s not an option, it’s an easy 5-star review. Highly recommended!

Everything was great!

The breakfast offers a satisfying variety, ensuring a great start to your day. The rooms are newly furnished, exceptionally clean, and designed for comfort, from the property, you can see grazing cows.

There was an active construction site located in front of the accommodation.

It is a lovely place, very clean and the staff is very polite and friendly!

They don’t warn you about the construction nearby - it is loud in the morning

LOVELY hosts!! Helped carry our bags, cold welcome drink, organise scooter rental and drop off back to harbour, made gorgeous breakfast and delivered outside room, and just always there to help if needed Lovely room and very effective AC, location is great as you can walk to the nicer restaurants on the island without a scooter. Bed was very comfy and lots of storage.

We were in the end cottage and backed onto a field of roosters which meant we didn’t get much sleep during our stay as they start crowing at 2:30am. No fridge in room Lizards poo on the floor so have to keep an eye out and clean up - maybe would be better if they couldn’t get in from the ceiling

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the island, especially since we rented a scooter. The WiFi and aircon worked well, and they also had a laundry service, which was super convenient. There was no fridge in the room, but this wasn't an issue for us - they usually make too much noise anyway 😅. While some reviews mentioned a short bumpy road leading to the property, it wasn't a problem for us. It's pretty typical for Nusa Penida, and we've definitely encountered worse! There were roosters crowing in the morning, but that seems to be island-wide. They were happy to make the pancakes vegan for us. It would be fantastic if they could also offer some plant-based milk for coffee, though! 🙂

Bathroom could benefit from more ventilation but not really an issue.

Staff is amazing - they take care of everything needed - connect with them if you need pickup / drop from port, motorbike, full day car with driver for Nusa full trip etc. all at very good price

Clean and hospitality! The staff very nice, prepared good late breakfast for us!

The water was a little salted, but it’s ok, and the road to the hotel is not so good

It is a bit bumpy and steep to get to, but not bad!
