Lydia Craft Guesthouse

Perfect location near amazing hikes, restaurants, and many tourist attractions. The neighborhood was filled with so much culture- a good mix of traditional and modern. Lydia was an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to make my mother and I feel welcomed. She even created the cutest artwork for us with our names on it. Would highly recommend!

Perfect location to all amenities. Short walk to local cuisines, street foods and cafes. Walking distances to palaces and museums and shops. The guest house is on one floor, perfect for my husband who has difficulties climbing stairs. The host Lydia is friendly, welcoming (with a plate of fresh fruits) and communicative. We have had WhatsApp conversations on transport and direction to the property before arrival. She met us at the bus stop and took us to the property. The property is compact, warm with underfloor heating. Love the heated toilet seat. There is a small well equipped kitchen. All toiletries and beauty products provided are made in Korea which is well known for.

Lydia was a fantastic host. Made us feel welcome and spent half a day hiking with us! The traditional apartment was lovely and in a very convenient location. The bed was comfortable. Very happy with our choice! Thank you Lydia.

The host was attentive and generous, even taking me for a hike nearby, and the place was comfortable. The location was perfect for going everywhere I needed in Seoul. I also appreciated amenities like dishes and a water boiler in the kitchen, and wifi.

The only problems that arose were minor and due to the age of the house, such as the shower drain not working one day, but it only happened once and the host cleaned it right away. Also, the dryer is shared with the tenants on the other suite.

The owner, Lydia, and her husband are so sweet. They made sure everything was in order for me and that I knew how to navigate both their house and the city. The room was very nice and had anything I needed- some of my most used amenities being filtered water, a washer and dryer, and an electric kettle. It’s a place with a cozy vibe and it’s conveniently close to both bus and subway (about 5-10 minutes to both). There’s also a couple of convenience stores very close by (less than 5 minute walk) which I used during my stay. Overall, it was a great room and location, and I would stay again.

Lydia was an amazing host. She was super friendly, helpful, and very communicative. She even made us a sweet welcome sign and provided fruit and tea upon our arrival. She responded very quickly to our texts and even went out of her way to help me purchase some skincare. The property was perfect for the 3 of us, very comfortable and the location was near main attractions. It was also super quiet and dark so we all had the best sleep there. If we ever end up going back to Seoul, I would stay at Lydia again for sure. I highly recommend her place.

We love everything about this place for our family of five stay of two nights. Very cozy and welcoming layout, feels like home. The location is close to lots of restaurants, especially the nearby food street which has plenty of options. Walking distance to the palace and metro stations, we really enjoyed the walking along the main street light shows on the New Year Eve. The host Lydia is very friendly and helpful, picked us on our arrival and showed us vey details about the house and gave useful suggestions for the area, thanks Lydia for the welcome fruits ( the strawberry and grape are so sweet). Highly recommend for the family stay, we would love to book again.
